Oh you can't notice the gut or his calves lol unprecedented gains in 1998? in what reguads ? size ? he was the same weight he was in 1996/97 , the only area he imroved on was his dryness , which helped his overall appearence , 1999 he was bigger 257lbs however his dryness suffered , and after that his dryness was never as good as it was in 98 , 2003 he made everyone look small , he bar far passed Dorian size wise , but as far as size wise plus condition he didn't surpass Yates .

ND, where is the significance of calves and stomach distention in a ronnie MM pose? Is that what you prioritize?

And tell me, who deserved to win the 1998 Mr. Olympia?

Ronnie deserved to win in 1998 Flex was off and he paid the price , if Flex was on I think he would have just beat Ronnie

And notice how great quads add to the effect of the most muscular?

I meant calves and there is nothing wrong with his quads !! they're not overdeveloped and they match his calves its called balance & proportion !!

What is incredibly stupid about this debate is that both of you people are posting the same ol' pics of them not even flexing, in a relaxed state of being. Especially you, ND. Do you have nothing better to do than troll sites looking for poses where ronnie is relaxed, in offseason, or simply NOT posing?

But damn, those most muscular's of Ronnie own every fucking bodybuilder on the planet. Who is Yates to even compete with that...

ah, but there is a crucial difference between my pics and ND's pics:

ND's relaxed pics are meant to show a gut, which is meaningless to the debate because they BOTH had guts at peak condition.

MY relaxed pics are intended to show lack of taper and lack of quad detail/sweep:

most of ND's pics show Ronnie backstage.
My pics show how dorian looked HORRIBLE in the symmetry round but was NEVER penalized.  Ronnie and his taper would have killed dorian in this round, no problem.

no contest..

the most muscular shows most of dorian's major (and they are major) flaws..

BS half the pics I have posted of Ronnie's gut are ONSTAGE the other half backstage and that pic you posted is from 1997 thats not a ' peak ' condition as you stated so nice try , 1993 Yates had wide obliques when relaxed , show me distention like Ronnie had at the 2001 ASC

And your lame ass theory about Yates not having any taper went out the window when I asked you why if he does indeed have NO taper does he not look like Cutler or Gunther in the ab-thigh and you neglected to answer that one !! watch that video from the other thread and tell me Yates doesn't have any taper even in 1997 with a gut and then come to your senses .

I think Dorian at his best looked better than Ronnie ever has!

but becus of injury like the torn biceps and his expanding midsection (at its worst was far bigger than Ronnies) Dorian didnt look that good for that long. Ronnie is more consistant but taken on a best look basis i go with Dorian.

What a coincidence that you favor Dorian, Mr. Englishman ;D

A compelling set of photo comparisons. Any one with an ounce of reason can see ronnies superiority in that shot. Dorian as great as he was gets demolished in the MM.

Accept it

I like your logic , because you don't like his most muscular Ronnie wins lol lets just put it this way , this most muscular lost to Dorian's , so once again moot point !!

okay, okay, dorian doesn't look too bad taper wise in the ab and thigh.

BUT he does look bad in the front relaxed pose of the symmetry round (even in good shape).

I think we can all agree on that..there has been lots and lots of pics to verify this one..

Oh no argument from me on that , When he won his first Olympia he looked better standing relaxed but when he stood next to Ray & Wheeler , he was left for dead , and Ronnie does look more impressive standing relaxed than Yates , but to say he has no taper is nonsense and like I've said technically both Yates & Ronnie have overdeveloped backs in reguards to lat width , its to the extreme , so that type of width is not needed to look great standing relaxed .

I think Yates looks very good in the ab/thigh. But that pic of him after he won his last Olympia....his torso looked like a barrel ;D
