ND, you contradict yourself again.  Why is it that Levrone is specifically talking about Ronnie only?  I imagine that he didn't equate Yates with a wasp waist.  Be reasonable and admit that Dorian started this crap of the large waisted, humongo bodybuilder and Coleman has taken it to the next level.    BTW, Priest has never been one of the elite; he is true B tier.  Oliva, however, is a bodybuildng god and I would take his assertions on who is a good bodybuilder a lot more than Priest's opinions.  Regardless, I would love to get the opinion of other bodybuilders like Luke Wood, Phil Heath, Jones, etc.  That would be interesting.  A competitor I know who is top three Mr. Florida heavies feels that Ronnie is unbeatable when he is on.  Thus, there are a lot of opinions.  I am sure there are those who feel the same about Yates 1993 or Haney 1991.  It is all subjective.

  Another hallmark, of Dorian's overwhelming dominance, was the front lat spread. Ronnie never came even close to Dorian in this mandatory. At 250 lbs, Ronnie had great taper and details on his quads, but his lats simply didn't flare out like Dorian's. At 280+ lbs, Ronnie is able to match - NOT surpass - Dorian in lat width, but he has terrible taper and far less details on his quads and delts than Dorian. At their respective best bodyweights(250 lbs for Ronnie and 257 lbs for Dorian), Dorian wins all mandatories but the back double biceps and perhaps the most muscular - even though I think his most muscular is as good as Ronnie's. There goes one of the best front lat spreads ever.

  The starcraft nerd loves the overbloated 280+ lbs Ronnie. Unfortunately for both of them(John and bitch), Ronnie has a terrible taper at that weight, not to mention gross assymetries between his muscle groups and upper and lower bodies. Personally, I think this cements my assertion that ronnie's lat spread is far more complete and would best Yates version standing next to his onstage. Detail and Taper make a big difference.

This is "overwhelming dominance"? His front lat spread is ok: almost complete lack of detail on the arms and elsewhere, but at least that pose does a much better job than the MM of hiding some of his flaws.

Funny how virtually all of Yates' signature shots fall apart against good competition.

Here's confirmation that even with one of Yates' better poses, Coleman dominantes to the extent that he has him beat on every criteria. Take any aspect and Yates is humbled in the front lat spread-one of many poses that he is a distant second.

Even the calves are solid.

SUCKMYASSHOLE will have an easier time starting with areas where Yates compares-a short list comprised of calves & forearms.

notice how much better the detail is from head to toe in Ronnie's shot. Unfortunately, its not on the best angle. However, it just goes to show you that yates would suffer in the overall pose against someone that had his lats but with more detail in the other bodyparts that make up the pose..

Whilst ronnie owns a few mandatories (mm, side chest, rear poses), despite my obvious bias, i actually feel dorian is superior in the front lat spread. Not just better than ronnie but probably the best ever. He fills it perfectly, and whilst ronnie has the edge on detail and seperation (although dorians thigh rods are evdient and ronnies arent) he doesnt pose gracefully and looks awkward in the pose. Plus the calf quad imbalance is evident.

Thats all i'll concede though at this point
