kid you have a LOT to learn about what smooth is

and you have a lot to learn about what good detail looks like..

only someone who doesn't understand the judging criteria would EVER say that Dorian was more detailed head to toe than Ronnie..

look at the pics. Watch the videos.  apply the criteria without bias.

the answer is quite clear.  ronnie is in another class than dorian..

Ronnie has better taper, better detailed, better lines, better aesthetics, better vascularity, better arms, quads, delts, chest...etc.

and ALL of this is clear in every comparison..

no comparison. Sorry. Thats progress.  look at the quads. Look at the arms, the delts etc. its like night and day..Ronnie by a mile (and both Dorian and Ronnie are in fantastic shape here (ronnie 1999, Dorian 1993) so the dorian fans can't use excuse #243654 and say that "he was lighter" or "the video makes dorian look bad" or "its the lighting" or... ::)

Hulkster a little bodybuilding conditioning 101 the bodybuilder on the left is not SMOOTH the one on the right is SMOOTH , see how simple ?

the fact that you have to resort to 2001 pics proves your desperation.

No you made the claim he was SMOOTH in 1995 that my friend ranks right up there with the Matt Mendenhall blocky comment thats retarded and clearly shows you have no fucking clue on what conditioning is !! 94 he tore his upper hence why it isn't as detailed he is NOT holding water keep clinging to your fantasy edges like a better V-taper or x-frame Dorian wins most of the mandatories period.

he has great detail in the abs. but that has never been up for debate- dorian back in the day had GREAT abs.  Its the arms, chest and quads that are smooth.

Lesson for you:

Here is the same pose but with detailed arms, chest and legs so you can see the difference:

look at the amazing quad difference. Look at the amazing arm difference. Look at the amazing chest difference..it doesn't matter which pics you choose, the result is the SAME..

great argument. Watch the 1999 video clip and you (if you were unbiased) would change your mind quite quickly:

dorian 1993..

Ronnie 1999..

and this is supposed to be dorian's BEST POSE!! :-\

Back Lat Spread (see Figure 5)
Standing with his back to the judges, the competitor will
place his hands on his waist with his elbows kept wide,
one foot back and resting on the toes. He will then
contract the latissimus dorsi as wide as possible and
display a calf contraction by pressing downward on the
rear toes. The competitor should make an effort to
display the opposite calf to that which was displayed
during the back double biceps pose so the the judge may
assess both calf muscle equally. It shall be strictly
forbidden for the competitor to pull up on the posing
trunks so as to show the gluteus maximus muscles.
The judge will look for a good spread of the latissimus
dorsi, but also for good muscle density and will again
conclude with the head-to-foot survey.

Where are Ronnie's calves? Dorian 93 or 95 have better muscle density than Ronnie 99 even though they both weigh the same. how about muscular balance? Sorry sport Dorian owns this pose and Ronnie isn't as DRY as Dorian either.

You are pathetic with little understanding of BB-again the focus on numbers while foolishly posting yet more pics of an unimpressive smallish looking Yates with not much definition.. I don't care what his weight is it didn't help!  ::)

Every Yates back shot is compromised by the weak, out-of-balance arms that are ignored by the nut-huggers..so much for balance!

You're cluless read the I.F.B.B. judging criteria I posted because its plainly obvious you don't know what definition is .he is dry as can be in 92 and his muscles are clearly defined he had the best combo of size & shape and conditioning thats why he won .

You just posted an upper-body back shot while continuing to obsess on Yates' calves because that's about all that's left.

Again with no understanding of balance-his arms are putrid-small with little definition. Open your eyes/get some glasses!

notice how every "good" Dorian shot ND posts is black-and-white and standing by himself.

Ever notice that Dorian recieved almost straight firsts in EVERY single one of his 6 Mr Olympia titles and that was directly compared to some of the very best in the history in the spot. so when you say Dorian looks good alone and not next to other people it shows your bias because no one ever came close to beating him.

I wish Dorian came back one more time out of retirement. I know it wouldn't be the same and all, and I'm being selfish to ask him to further compromise his health, but it's this kind of competition the Olympia needs for excitement.

Why, hasn't he been humiliated enough here? He would get killed! He already looked old ten years ago, would barely be competitive in the master's contests. ;D

Something like this with arms completely overpowered by torso, but worse. :-X

Coleman, at the same age Yates is, still amazing! Meanwhile, Yates has falled apart.

lol whats funny is Ronnie started lifting weights when he was 13 and Dorian when he was 21 and they're right around the same age funny with that long headstart he was still never in Dorian's leauge .
