You can clearly see in this picture that Cutler is wider, although is rear lat is very inferior to Coleman. Also, note that this is coleman at 296lbs, so no he is not the widest ever, and I would reckon Yates in '97 was the widest ever.

It's seems like about 1/3 of getbig including this guy, ND and SUCKY don't even understand BB-Cutler's the only one of the 4 fully flexed and yet this guy's already drawn the wrong conclusion..DUH!!!!

What I don't understand is how Ronnie can compensate size wise for his gut dispite being 23 lighter than Dorian in 97

Oh I also can't understand why the Weiders would handpick Dorian Yates for ' commerical intrests ' over Ray , Labrada , etc

Oh and also I can't understand how Ronnie can dominate his opponets when he was off by just barelt beating them by 4 points lol  ;)

The thing I think a lot of you forget when comparing these two is just HOW GOOD both of them are. Look at how critically you are criticizing both of these two. CRITICIZE ANY OTHER BODYBUILDER like you do Coleman and Yates and you will realize just how great both of them were/are :)

He doesn't have Yates on size there Hulkster lol Dorian is 270lbs and Ronnie is 247lbs , he can't compensate size wise for his gut if he is 23lbs lighter , just to let you know lol ( WTF ? )

Also, looking from the outside, both parties here are showing severe bias.

Let's start with ND's camp. You all talk about Yates superior triceps. Why are they superior? SHAPE.

SHAPE, SHAPE, SHAPE. Coleman's genetic shape blows away Dorian's.

Hulkster's camp. You all talk about lack of detail, and no taper with Yates. In 1993 at his all-time best, Yates handily outmuscled, out-detailed, and was better conditioned than both  Shawn Ray and Flex Wheeler. This cannot be denied. Credit must be given where credit is due.

Now, another factor I feel that must be pointed out.

Yates was bad in 1994. We all know that. But, Coleman was also very bad in 2001, and even worse in 2002. In 2002, Ronnie was deflated, undetailed, and had a huge gut.

The difference between the two is the fact that Yates' bad year was very magnified by the fact he faced SUPERIOR opponents that made his deficiencies glaring. In 2002, Ronnie faced no one that could challenge him. Culter was out, and Levrone was well past his time. At only 243lbs in 2002, Yates' 262lb 1994 form would have beaten him on size alone (and we all know size is the MAJOR deciding factor nowadays)

I disagree with you , some muscle shape Ronnie beats Dorian and vice versa . Dorian has better shapped abdominals , calves , forearms , side triceps , lats are probably a push , so while Ronnie does have some much better shaped muscles he so does Dorian .

ND, what I have noticed with you, is that you don't understand, ALL THE PARTS HAVE TO FIT TOGETHER. Just becuase Dorian has better forearms and triceps DOESN'T mean his arms are better, just look at the pictures, even an idiot could see Ronnie's arms are far superior.

Overall, Ronnie's shape is much much better than Dorian's.

I believe just the opposite Ronnie's parts don't blend together as well as Dorian's , especially his biceps/triceps/forearms , in fact I've posted picture to prove this .

I mention this every time ND tries to argue that 2001 was more controversial than 1994.

He still doesn't get it.

He really has no clue.

Hulkster, don't be foolish. Like Samir said, Yates won 1st, 2nd and 3rd in '93. Look at this picture. Yates is making Wheeler's back look like that of an undetailed water buffalo.

You can dream all you want , the scoresheets own you  ;) and the big shock in 94 was how bad he looked VS 1993 NOT compared to his ' competition ' and if what you're saying made any sense then it would have been close , if Shawn was that good the score sheet would have projected that , in 01 it sure did and in 02 it sure did . what you don't get it is according to those who matter 1994 was no contest.

yes he said that. But do you know WHY he said that?

because Samir, like everyone else was blown away by a 257 pound Mr. Olympia.

They, like the judges were blown away the size dorian had.

They overlooked everything else in favor of this size.

Hulkster, Dorian's size and conditioning cannot be denied in '93. Don't be foolish. Ronnie went up against an oil-logged Flex, a shadow of his former self. Any other year besides 93 I would agree with you, but in 93 Dorian was ON.
