I'd say you're alone other than SUCKY and ND in that bizarre, biased assessment. Yates' back was drier and denser I agree but Coleman's was wider with better taper and still plenty muscular so just personal taste-one of the very few areas where Yates is comparable.

The ONLY ronnie condition from the back that can compare to Yates 93O condition is the 01ASC but he was only 242lbs there and Dorian was 257, Ronnie wouldnt have a chance size wise.

Yates did have some abdominal distention in 1994 BUT never in the likes of Coleman again I admit he started and the judges should have stopped it , the sport as a whole would have been better off.

Does anyone have pre-juding video of Ronnie in 1999? I'm thinking he may be tighter and drier than he appears on the night show video posted on YouTube.

Also, does anyone know if the 93O is on DVD? The quality of the VHS is horrific.

How can you be sure of any attribute either of them has?

I don't think anyone's had wider lats than Coleman, maybe a few are close but none were named Yates. Yates' back is just as good IMO, because each guy has attributes the other doesn't. Yates has great density & dryness.

Exactly he can't tell unless they were side-by-side on stage and lat width may be a push . but density thickness & dryness isn't .

Ronnie is extremely dry and peeled here, as similar as he got to Yates 93 condition, but again he is 15lbs lighter than Yates here. Can his shape and biceps make up for that 15lbs? I dont think so.

Only a know-nothing would try to reduce Coleman's domination to "biceps" and "shape". Through on huge size advantages in certain areas, better vascularity, better aesthetics, better V, better tapers all-round, better cuts by far in areas like arms, etc.
