HA HA HA HA HA! Hulkster&Pumpster went on and on about Ronnie winning it for the ninth time, and how he wasn't sub-par in the last four years...he got defeated by Cutler, a guy who, in Dorian's time, would barely get a call-out from the udges against the likes of Kevin, Wheeler, Cormier, etc. So, the whole theory about how dominant he would be against an all-time best Dorian has been utterly, concisively, thoroughly annihilated!!!!!! Great post as usual my friend. WHen we look at the field of competitors both Dorian and Ronnie faced how can People even contest that Ronnie is the better BB? Dorian won going up against a prime Nasser, Prime Wheeler, Shawn Ray, Prime Levrone, Dillet, Fux. Anyone of those guys would own Ronnie, and did own Ronnie.

Ronnie's toughest Comp is Cutler, a guy who was considered 3rd teir in Yates' time.

ANd Now Ronnie cant even beat him.

i always made the point about dorian/ron's competition, but hulkster and pumpster ignored it saying how it didnt matter when its pretty obvious that it did.  ronnie's weak competition made him look much better than he actually did.  where as dorian competed against some of the best guys of all time in their all time best showings.  and he still dominated.

 - Dorian won both the muscularity&symmetry rounds of all his Olympias, contrary to Ronnie who has he unique distinction, at the 2001 rendition of the contest, of having been deemed both less muscular and symmetrical than Cutler and still won the show.

 - Dorian retired undefeated; Ronnie was de-throned.

 - Dorian won all the Grand Prix shows he entered while beeing the standard-bearer; Ronnie lost to Gunther, a guy with lousy structure, at the 2002 GNC Show of Strengh, a minor show if there ever was one.

 - Quoting myself, Ronnie lost a pro show while being Mr.Olympia, a shame no other standard-bearer had to endure.

ronnie's showing 2 days ago makes everyone realize just how good dorian was and the fact that coleman competed against guys that wouldnt even get call outs when dorian was competiting. 

now lets talk about overrated.  your opinion about what someone looks like is just your opinion, howerver, the score cards and lineups of the competition are different.

  HUGE difference in the guys that dorian beat and the guys that coleman beat.  the guys that coleman beat made him look much, much better than he really was.  this olympia showed just how bad his strucutre is - with his short torso, abs, no calves, and now 1 lat and 1 tricep. 

i dont really want to bash coleman.  he was a great champ.  if he were at his best and competed against dorian's best, i think dorian would edge him out on conditioning alone.  dorian seemed a bit bigger (if you choose ronnie from 99), but ronnie had better shapes and details

however, i told you before that the judges pick the guy who is the biggest AND in the best condition.  that's why jay won this year.  ronnie never had the mass AND conditioning advantage over dorian and that's why he would loose.  your analysis of shapes, details, taper, etc. may matter at the toronto pro show, but not at the Olympia.
