Just back from Venice Beach.  ;D

Coleman's in good company, including Oliva who was allowed to lose so it's no big deal; makes the show immediately interesting again, for a change. Long overdue; the only major injustice is subjecting him to this outcome onstage while allowing Yates & Haney unfair unjustified wins of their own. Why Weider didn't have a talk with Coleman about stepping down gracefully before the show I would like to know unless Ron's arrogance really hit the spot. His attitude was as big a part as anything I have a feeling, that and maybe just maybe someone finally convinced uncle joe to liven it up before the show got even more stale. ;)

Quote
Haney truly went out on top , in the best shape of his life 8 striaght and retired in style .
In part due to timing, don't delude yourself (again). He wouldn't have gone out on top in different circumstances, deal with it.

Question: what good did Coleman's vastly superior arms (both in size and separation) do for him against Jay?

I expected that you'd be a Ronnie-Apologist but its plainly evident judging by both that Ronnie was clearly beaten by a better man.

Unlike U i like objectivity.  ;D Long overdue to make the show both more interesting & fairer-maybe they've been reading getbig regarding the show's past staleness from all those undeserved Haney & Yates wins.  ;D

Also, if this was the same pack of judges that has been judging since Haney's time, why is it they awarded Cutler the win this year, and not Shawn Ray in 1994 if it was so "controversial"?

We'll never know how it's determined behind the scenes. ;)

Would've been interesting to see Yates' reaction in the same situation re: one of his undeserved wins but maybe he just kissed ass a little more than Coleman who doesn't seem interested at all in playing the game.

Therefore, we must assume that politics are moot.

uh, no ::)

WITHOUT sufficient info you would assume that NO politics are at play since you don't know. You assume that judging is fair and accurate.

Anyone who says that and means it doesn't really know the history including some insane decisions along the way.

Pretty much matching your own humorlessness then. What i said stands; read. Learn some of the history before firmly putting another foot in mouth. ;D

The IFBB & Weider have ALWAYS been the most mercantile of enterprises, dating back to the 60s. Anyone foolish enough to rule those considerations out of some outrageous results over the years, ones that i've already listed, is naive. No one's been able to refute the most glaring of these BTW. PM me guys i have a bridge here for ya.

That has nothing to do with it. Unless you have direct evidence of "politics" which you don't, then we assume that all judging is fair and accurate, especially considering that nobody here is a judge, and they may have different criteria for grading than we do. You are just bitter that Coleman lost to pathetic Cutler. I watched his posing routine, and am honestly shocked he won it. He is NOT mr. olympia material. Mr. Olympia is someone who "shocks" the world and sets a new standard. The only thing Cutler set a new standard in was waist circumference and softness :-[

Milos reflecting an awareness that escapes these douchebags-Coleman knew before the announcement was made, suckers..a little hunch that Milos knows ALOT more than getbig know-alls who like to dismiss reality, as if the IFBB and Weider were fine upstanding citizens with outstanding integrity!!

Ronnie knew his placing before it was announced on the stage - and THAT SHOULD HAVE NOT HAPPENED...

Also he told me that judges"instructed" him after the prejudging how to look at the finals - and he told me that he just listened to the judges...

Now - isn't that just great?

Judges are telling the athletes what to bring on the stage as they are competing with the others...

It is like boxing judge telling a boxer to hit his opponent with certain combination of punches as they get back into a ring...

At the same time - possibly "other" judge tells his opponent how to defend that combo...

Welcome to the IFBB.

"knowing" the announcement before it is made is nothing new, and has nothing to do with politics. If you win the prejuding you win the show. Are you going to say Ronnie won the Olympia in 1998 due to politics? Becuase he also knew the outcome of the show before it was announced as well. He was told backstage.

You're just arguing for the sake of arguing. Read. Discuss. Learn about your beloved highly commercial IFBB, that BTW is accountable to no one.

Official opinion is the same as I personally told Ronnie and Jay:

Jay DESERVED the victory....and I announced that already on Friday to many people that asked me for my opinion...

nothing.

now he only has 1 triceps, and his triceps weren that good in the first place.

pumpster,

you could not be any gayer.  now all you talk about politics, like you know something we dont, like you know a judge or a judge.  any other excuses you can think of now that you and hulkster lost the argument.

how did they use the argument. ronnie is 43 with injuries, the argument is who was a better bodybuilder if both at there peak the answer would be ronnie obviously and clearly.

<LOL> the dorian side is so fucking desperate they are now trying to say that because Ronnie lost at AGE 43 that dorian was better.

LOL

Ronnie was still winning Mr. Olympia's while dorian was sweeping up at the Arnold Expo booth pawning off cheap protein powder - all 140 pounds of him :P :P :P

and besides, Dorian could have just as easily lost to Shawn or Nasser.

In fact, given that Ronnie lost such a close battle and Dorian got killed by Nasser and Shawn and still won is even worse :-\

wrong again.

jay beat ronnie 22-38.  how the fuck can you say that is close?

dorian beat nasser and shawn 20-40.  dorian had a perfect scores.

once again your opinion is subjective, numbers on a scorecard are not.
