Question to those who think that Ronnie Coleman got screwed at this year's Olympia: Why did he deserve to win when he couldn't even hit a front or rear lat spread?

Coleman's faults at this year's Olympia:

1. Small left lat
2. Small left tricep
3. Smooth left leg
4. No right calf (nothing new but looked smaller than ever)
5. Huge gut (again nothing new)
6. Poor conditioning
7. Silliest posing routine ever
8. Wore shades at the press conference and throughout the entire contest (very unprofessional)

Dorian Yates never had this many faults and that is a fact that Hulkster and Pumpster need to get used to.

  Dude, your boy lost flat out. The only things Ronnie had on Cutler, unquestionably, were quad mass and biceps. That's it. He might also have thicker pectoralis muscles, but the botom line is that Cutler had enough of it to, when taking into account his other advantages, take the side chest mandatory.

  From the back, Ronnie endured the humiliation of having his former dominance not merely finished, but annihilated. Last year, Cutler had finally matched Ronnie for latissimus width, but Ronnie's lats were still clearly thicker; this year, Cutler not only surpassed Coleman for lat width, but also for thickness! Now, it is my opinion that Ronald sill had slighly crisper back details. But unfortunately, this wasn't enough to overcome Cutler's superiority at everything else from the back. I saw the pics comparing them from the back carefully, and it's obvious that Cutler had him on Latissimus, teres maor and minor, infra-spinatus, etc.

  Politics? You have made this charge continuously, yet you haven't supplied any evidence for that; hence, it is only a conecture. "Politics" might explain how he won in 2001, but it cannot explain a margin of victory of 16 points: such a wide margin of points only comes from dominating the mandatories convincingly. Sorry, but true: you can't win that much points in the free posing round. Also, Pumpster, you still haven't explained to me, how having a White Anglo-Saxon - from Britain! - win the Olympia, makes more sense from a PR perspective than having a Black American man winning it. There is nothing more politically incorrect than having a White guy winning the title, so your charge that Dorian won Sandows against the likes of Shawn, Dillet, Levrone, Cormier, etc, because of "politics" makes no sense whatsoever. Cutler is establishing what standard exactly?

  Who said you need to establish a new standard to win the Sandow? All you need to do is to be better than all the other guys. Ronnie certainly established no new standard when he won in 1998, since bodybuilder with greater muscularity(Dorian, Nasser, Dillet) had been seen before, and those with better symmetry, too(Wheeler, Oliva, Shawn, Kevin). Ronnie only took one criteria of bodybuilding to a new level, muscularity, in 2003, on his sixth Olympia win.

  Cutler won this Olympia, dude. Get serious. Like I've said before, Ronnie was only more muscular than him on quadriceps and maybe on the pectoralis. But Cutler had the better side chest shot. Cutler's latissimus were both wider and thicker than Ronnie's, and the separations between the latissimus, teres maor and minor and infra-spinatus were at least as good. Form the back, the only thing Coleman had on him were hams and glutes- and having large glutes is a bad thing as far as bodybuilding goes. Game over.

  You're the worst Coleman guy on this board, bar none: you make Hulkster seem like a moderate. I feel sorry that your boy got anally defeated by Cutler, a guy who, in Dorian's era, would be regarded as barely Olympia material. The guy who defeated Coleman at this year's Olympia would be annihilated by the likes of Levrone, Wheeler, Ray, Dillet and even Nasser. Give it up, dude. You lost.

i'll give ya that for ronnie.  he was the biggest guy with asethetics.  but i dont know if that will be considered a new standard. 

mainly bc, asethetics are something that you are pretty much born with.  cant do much to change them.

howerver, dorian set the standard for mass AND conditioning.  a combination that has not yet been surpassed.

but not details and striations.  not even close. 

mass and conditioned can be changed, hence someone (dorian) can set a new standard.

ex.  if flex won the Olympia, it would not have been considered a new standard for shape.  you're born with shape.

but at least dorian was never dethroned.
