I think Ronnie in 2003 beats Yates no questions asked. Dorian said the judges would probably pick Ronnie based on size alone. 93 Dorian vs. 99 Ronnie would be a good battle. Ronnie would probably win, however, it would be his stiffest competition.

Yawn old news , Ronnie in 1999 said Dorian would have beat him , and Dorian was referring to the fact that Ronnie competed 30lbs heavier than him and the judges would probably pick him , and I hate to tell you sport Ronnie 2003 isn't his prime showing .

Taken out of FLEX nov 1999, page 90.  interview by jim schmaltz with ronnie before the 99 Olympia.

Jim:  What would have happened last year if Dorian Yates (recently retired winner of 6 straight Mr. Olympias) had competed?



Ronnie:  Dorian would have won again.


Jim: You think so?


Ronnie:  I know so.  Dorian has a big physique - hard- and he's been the man to beat, and its hard to knock the champion off the block.  He's a big guy and has a lot going for him.  He overcame so many adversities, like his torn biceps, I couldnt see too much else stopping him.

And again Ronnie joints may help with the apperence of looking bigger but his waist in that picture is the same size as Yates , and Dorian doesn't have a waist that small , so that means that comparision is NOT accurate .

1999- ronnie IMO was def his best showing... but ronnie saying that in flex is more about showing respect for the champ... dorian won 6 straight... its not the same as Dorian in 2005 saying that ronnie has become a greater BB then he was...

Hello McFly??? Can't you see from the pics that the veins in Yates' biceps are oddly shaped making them appear slightly inferior to Coleman's? Try to imagine the veins in Yates' biceps looking exactly Coleman's. His arms would look equally as good. I personally think that Coleman's biceps look 2D in some pics. They are high peaked but sometimes appear to lack Yates' thickness.

It's really a shame that Dillet had to pull out of the 98 Olympia. I'm watching BFTO 98 and Dillet's legs were unreal. His legs would have DESTROYED Ronnie's. Not to mention he would have dwarfed Ronnie, he was 290 18 days out :o
