no, the thick waist plays a part too:
Wrong. What matters id the differential between the waist and either the lats or shoulder girdle, depending on the pose.
yes, the taper is basically shoulder/lats to waist.
and when your waist is as thick as dorians, this affects your taper. look at the pics.
You obviously picked a very bad pick of Dorian to make your case. The thick waist does not affect the taper, by defitnition, because the waist has already been factored in when you say "taper". The bottom line is that Dorian's waist was thicker, granted, but this is irrelevant as far as taper goes. The bottom line is that Dorian has better taper where it counts: in the abs-and-thigh and the front lat pread. In the symmetry round, Ronnie and Dorian tie for overrall taper, because even though Ronnie has better taper from the front, Dorian has it nailed from the sides. All things considered, since neither of them manages to edge the other in taper during the relaxed round and since Doriana actually has better taper in thge two mandatorieies, I believe that the case for who has the best overrall midsection would be decided by abs/serratus separations, which Dorian has the edge on Ronnie. Again, I dare you to post the pic of Ronnie doing the abs-and-thigh at the 1999 Olympia and compare to this. Ronnie has better taper? No fucking way!;)
