Dorian loses in my opinion because of waist and his injuries which mounted more towards the end of his career.  But in 1993 when he was at his best he was still an inch shorter and 30 pounds lighter than Ronnie.

at what point in Ronnie's career was he 30lbs heavier than Dorian?  Was it in 98 or 99 when ron was fantastic or was it in 2003 or 2005 when ron had looked like a shadow of his former self?

Ronnie absolutely destroys him there.  ND, you keep on claiming that Dorian is dense.  Define density for me.  I have totally disproven Sucky.  What is your definition.  Please don't say he looks dense as that means absolutely nothing.  If he is ripped that is because of body fat and water depletion.  If he is thick, that is a facet of muscularity.  Density is mass per unit volume; is Dorian the most dense because he has less intracellular water and less interspersed fat in this musculature?  That would make sense, but I don't see how it applies to bodybuilding.  That is a physiologic condition; one that cannot be perceived so much by the eyes.  Just curious, as I think this density claim is quite stupid.

The only physique Coleman could compete with against Yates is the 99 version. Yates would make an 03 Coleman look offseason on stage.

You, conversely, have not disproven the my ice and water analogy about density; you only pointed out that I mistaked ice for water. Furthermore, nothing of what you've written has ruled out the hypothesis that the difference in appearance between Dorian's and Ronnie's muscles were simply a visual and not physical one. There's absolutely no way for you to demonstrate causality between physical and visual density when it comes to the appearance of muscles. Let's put it this way:

Sucky, I think we agree the same thing.  You are assuming that if Dorian and Ronnie had equal water levels, bodyfat percentages and glycogen stores then their density would be equal (or very close).  In that, I agree with you.  However, my point is that unless we actually knew those variables, it would difficult to prove that assertion without an actual muscle biopsy speciman.  Thus, I think we are arguing over semantics.  Regardless, it was fun.  Now, more Ronnie vs Dorian.  Hell, why don't you guys throw in Gutler for the hell of it.  Might spice up the thread a little.

My friend, do you really feel that Dorian is that much harder?  Ronnie has striated glutes and hams.  Yes, his waist was a disaster, but it was in check relative to the rest of his physique.  You are comparing him to a rock hard 250 pound Yates.  I feel that in 2003 the muscular superiority would overwhelm any version of Yates.  However, I agree that if Ronnie's waist were more like 1999 it would be total domination and not just a hard fought victory.  Regardless, both are great but IMO Ronnie > Dorian.

He is not tensing his glutes there. Ronnie's glutes look just like that in 99 as well when relaxed if you check the 99BFTO where they have backstage photo shoot (he looks amazing there)
