In 94, Shawn owned EVERYONE onstage, including the overrated Yates:

Has anyone in this thread ever heard the phrase "beating a dead horse"?

Hope this helps.

I don't know, but ND uses the phrase "beating off to dorian yates" quite often

why is it that whenever we see dorian standing next to a buch of other pros onstage, 9 times out of 10 he is getting owned by at least one person?

answer:

because he was overrated:

ND's solitary close ups don't really mean a thing unless you compare dorian to the competition

and when that happens, you see how overrated he really was:

Anyone care to explain exactly how dorian's rear lat spread can be so much better than Ronnie Coleman's when it is barely better than Kevin Levrone's?

answer please:

Dorian was indeed overrated.  Great back, but that's about it.  Well, he had a cool accent.  But that's about it.

Just when you think you've seen the worst yates has to offer, another photo crops up and reinforces what we've known for some time:

Yates looks awful.

Further proof that ND doesn't know BB and can't see. He posts this great shot of Coleman then whines about it.

Quote
Montser forearms monster balance & proportion

Meanwhile Coleman looks great in this shot posted by ND, while Yates' bis are feeble and  overpowered by the rest, don't balance at all.

How is this balance ND? How does Yates compete with less balance AND much less size?

Or give the contest greater legitimacy by letting him lose to more deserving BBs some of the time. ND and cronies continue to pretend that there's no proof of politics in the face of these decisions.

Empty rhetoric. ;)

As long as evidence is ignored, it's still "new" for those with heads firmly buried in sand, refusing to acknowledge reality. ;D Just like those recent contest pics, the truth's not going away.  ;D

ND's about as out of touch as Rumsfeld & Bush. :-X  Ignores videos, pics & polls that prove his insanity. Pretends politics don't exist when far more knowledgeable sources and evidence confirm it.

ND's LONG-OVERDUE REALITY CHECK:

ND owes me for the wake-up call.

I just find it funny that ND uses solitarly, close up shots of Yates arms to prove they are great, meanwhile, any photo with anyone else onstage shows how bad they are.

ND, prior to these screencaps and videos, there was very little 99 stuff on line.

there was a few scattered pics, and the youtube vid of Ronnie posing.

now we have fantastic screen caps and the whole prejudging as well, with great videos of Ronnie hitting the mandatories beside chris and flex.

dorian had good triceps. I think that is obvious.

problem is, to have great arms, you need:

good triceps
good biceps
good deltoids.
good forarms
detail
vascularity
good shape to tie it all together.

Yates has the firsta and fourth items on the list. nothing more:

Part of Yates arm size deficiency is tri size. Great cuts, not great size except in side-tri shots where he's pressing his arm against his side to create an illusion. Side-tri shots are the great equalizer for those without size.

For anyone paying attention, both Levrone's tris AND bis are bigger than Yates', & closer if not quite as big as Coleman's. The size advantage is not just one muscle or the other.
