by the way, based on the analagous 03/99 shots, it looks like Ronnie's posing routine was exactly the same both years!

His back isn't as hard as it was in 98 thats a fact !! the bigger Ronnie got the more the hardness in his back suffered thats a fact ! see 98 Olympia and 2001 ASC for a totaly dry Coleman with great overall dryness !!

When you compare that to the waist Ronnie Coleman used to enjoy its a travisty , Yates never had that advantage to begin with.

but that is a fact that has yet to be verified by any pics or videos:

98 vs. 99:

as you can see, there was a negligable difference - with 10 more pounds of muscle.

and that 10 pounds was in his gut watch the vid again of the 99 GP and raise the roof his gut is there in all its glory.

It was slight in 98 more noticable in 99 and a complete joke in 03 and its noticable in poses , durring repose , transitions etc its painfully obvious .

simply because even in those few shots, you can really tell that ronnie was noticably bigger at the 99 Olympia with virtually the same level of detail:

i don't know what it is about his 01 ASC look, but he looked bigger even though his 99 form was larger. Like that one shot where its got him inhaling to do a most muscular and has the photo of his rear lat spread in the corner. No one has ever looked like that. I know bodybuilding is as much illusion as it is inches and pounds, but that 01 ASC form has a freakiness about it that is hard to describe.

true, this pic is insane:

dorian wishes he could have looked this good.

it really is a toss up as to which condition overall is better.

but one thing can be said for sure:

Ronnie 2001 certainly had more of a gut:
at least when relaxed
