That same logic doesn't work due to the fact that Dorian appeared much, much larger than his weight suggested.

but the same applies to Ronnie:

for example, he was only 245-250 at the arnold classic, but appeared HUGE because of his condition:

he would appear even bigger in 99 because he was up to 12 pounds heavier depending on his exact weight - 245 up to 257).

yes, hulkster, please print the quotes.  i'm amazed you havent done so when i posted ronnie's quotes on page 150.

I shall. my house is being torn up right now due to renovations, so the mags are in a box somewhere in my garage.

when I dig them out I will post them.

Dex has a great line from the 2003 olympia coverage in which he says ronnie is so good he set a standard that will not be equalled for years to come.

some say ( the mass lovers) that this is true.

ps Pubic, although ronnie was not as detailed in 2003 as he was in 99, I would not call his condition "poor":

Yates appeared "much larger" based on what evidence? Others appeared "like children"? Damn that's hilarious hahahahah that's some good fiction.

Kyomo was at one of the contests and didn't notice that at all actually, has said the opposite over and over again-Yates would've been completely out-muscled by Coleman, which is blatantly obvious to most.

Yates being run over by Levrone despite the children analogy..

Another rationalization-Kyomo was at one of the contests and didn't notice that at all actually. Pretty clearly says Yates didn't have enough muscle size to compete with Coleman, which is blatantly obvious to most.

Um,... Yates isn't even posing.

Um, it didn't occur to you that 17" arms aren't blowing up to 22s after he tenses? Here's another, to confirm what someone actually at a contest has said for those open to accepting the truth-no size advantage for Yates.

His advantage, as has been said from page 1, lay in density & hardness combined with good size. Let's not get carried away with fiction about the other guys being "like children", which is absurd.

Dillet & Levrone out-muscling Yates-pic no. 32 showing a size advantage of other guys who deserved to win the show some of the time in a fair contest.

No, the arms aren't going to blow up.
Stop being mellodramatic. There's no way his arms are only 17". Why would you post such an obviously slanted pic to prove your point? It goes for both sides, yes, but for fucks sake, that picture is absolutley worthless as an attempt to prove your claims. The second one is much more acceptable.

They're very predictable those two , they fear great pics of Dorian for a reason.

Wow. I think Dorian actually looks better than Kev in that side-tri; of course it's a bad angle and Levrone always did a variation

Yeah. It's just the quality of the muscle. Kev's arms look to be about twice the size of Dorian's- but Dorian's just look more impressive.

Kevin's upper arm also appears longer, with a lower insertion point. I wonder if Dorian is predominatley northern genetically, perhaps dutch. He has that brick shithouse look. Short arms and barrel chest, short waist. Extremely powerfull looking physique, but not gracefull at all.

Brick shithouse- that's exactly the term I'd use to describe. Like a fucking set of bricks, unbelievable.,

Hulkster here is a quote from Musclemag International Feb 1995

On the 1994 Mr Olympia

Was it after all a luckywin? I chose to use the word " lucky " because  without a doubt there was an element of luck involved in Dorian's third consecutive Mr. O title . He was far from his best.

I would NOT not wish the reader to leave these pages thinking that the Sandow had been given a handout. THAT WOULD BE FAR FROM THE TRUTH.

 ;)

All that means is it's the same as what you described Ronnie's wins. With an element of luck, as there always is.

I seriously think alot of 1994's controversy comes down to colour. Dorian's tan and colouring was fucked up, made him look off in the black and white photos.

Why does Nasser appear to be so much closer to the camera than Ray and Yates in this comparison? The size of his head proves that he is at least 3 feet closer to the camera than the other two. He must've got his idea from Kevin Levrone who was constantly warned by Wayne Demelia to stand on the white line. At least no one can accuse Yates of cheating.

flip to the muscle go round section in the front of the mag. If I recall, their comments there on both dorian and Lenda Murray's wins were far from flattering.

ps you should quote the last few line of the 94 O. review where they make a great case for Shawn deserving the title.

Johnny Fitness, like most of us, did not think dorian deserved to beat Shawn.

And he WAS THERE 8)

Dorian had the best side triceps of all-times.

The real question concerning 1994 is how Shawn got 2nd in front of Kevin ;)

Thats right. Haven't you ever heard the term used to describe someone who is extremely powerfull looking? His physique exudes power, vs. a Coleman, who looks like a cartoon character. Different strokes for different folks.
