characteristics? a small waist and flaring lats? you need more than that !

Calves , Abdominals and deltoids are ALL Aesthetic muscles , how can Ronnie be aesthetic if he's missing 2 out of 3 of PART of the criteria? couple that with his overdeveloped glutes , bitch-tits ,  his GH GUT , his lack of balance and proportion and we can put that myth of Ronnie being aesthetic to bed.

Yes this is very aesthetic and this is considered his best !

Hardly, ND. You get carried away a bit- just because Camp Coleman make rediculous exaggerated claims doesn't mean it's ok for you to ;D

Ronnie actually had great abs- I've alluded to this a number of times. The fact is, he didn't know how to hit a pose properly. There is a pic around from (I think) the 96 NOC- he placed 2nd to Flex Wheeler (or 1st?). It's a really well known shot of Ronnie hitting a side ab-thigh- you can see his incredible abdominal development combined with his small waist- unbelievable shape and taper.

Further, hulkster has posted screens of the 99 Olympia showing Ronnie with decent calves. And, of course, Ronnie's delts are amazing- especially in the most muscular, they have great shape and curve- well-rounded.

where did you come up with this 'criteria' of calves abs and delts?

newflash: Lee Labrada had crappy abs, and no calves and he was considered aesthetic:

I scanned that pic !! and his abdominals aren't that greatly shaped and his calves aren't that greatly shaped or developed , he does have great delts but again you need more than that to be aesthetic

I remember Hulkster always claiming Ronnie was very aesthetic and when Flex came out with its Top Twenty list of most aesthetic bodybuilders , Ronnie wasn't on it and Hulkster was sad. lol

Why do you type such fucking-absurd things? why? why do you NOT read what you're typing? , This statement is on par with Dorian Yates was the most overrated bodybuilder of all time . Labrada didn't have ' crappy abs and calves ' first of all and second of all Arnold Schwarzenegger said the criteria and its BASED on the Greek sculptors when they made the great statues , they all had great abs , calves and delts .

had he stayed the same as 98/99 he might have actually made it near the bottom of the list...

exactly.

but ND has never understood the obvious.

Ronnie has oddly shaped calves and abdominals and , his calves lack diamond shape and proportionate size befitting a 250 pound bodybuilder .

Labrada naturally didn't have the biggest calves but they were NOT lacking in diamond shape , proportionate size , development , detail or balance , Hulkster this statement will haunt you lol check the abdominals as well.

Wow you can't even do an accurate comparison when it comes to Ronnie lol and Cormier and Flex are both aesthetic and made the list to boot !! Ronnie is a collection of impressive parts.

ND, Flex is hardly the be all and end all of bodybuilding. They're a popular magazine, worse than tabloid. Just because they don't say that Ronnie is aesthetic, doesn't mean that he isn't. I remember that list, and there were some very contentious choices.

Ronnie's calves are massive, full stop. However, I strongly agree- they're not greatly shaped. And if you scanned that pic, you might want to re-post it and tell us what's wrong with his abs.

logical?

ND, looking at that pic that Hulkster posted from (1999?), you say that Cormier and Flex were aesthetic, btu Ronnie was not. So, tell us what Ronnie doesn't have from an aesthetic standpoint that the other two do have.

Oh I'm NOT talking Flex Magazine's word that Ronnie is NOT aesthetic I came to that conclusion all by myself YEARS before that article came out and I only disagreed with one thing on that list and that was Steve Reeves wasn't first. !!

Fair call then.

Can you post that scanned pic and tell us what was wrong with Ronnie's abs in that shot?

And can you address this?

ND, looking at that pic that Hulkster posted from (1999?), you say that Cormier and Flex were aesthetic, btu Ronnie was not. So, tell us what Ronnie doesn't have from an aesthetic standpoint that the other two do have.

this question has been posted to ND so many times over the last 2 years.

and he cannot come up with a logical answer ::)

the real answer is out and out bias.
