its amazing how out of proportion dorian's calves were with the rest of him.

probaby history's greatest calves, but they look like they belong on someone else..

So what, Coleman's calves and legs are now the standard for balance and proportion  ::)

Wheeler's back looks harder and more detailed there. Ron's is wider.

Wheeler's quads are also more cut and his front lat spread looks far more aesthetic (not sure if it's better though).

Wheeler's glutes and hams are horrid though :-X

The creme de la creme of tier-B Olympians, vs. one of just a few all-time superstars, Coleman:

that 'tier - b' olympian only beat the best bodybuilders of all time.

never has there been competition like the 90's.

who'd sergio and robby ever beat?

exactly. maybe now you will understand  my point about how quality was sorely overlooked in dorian's reign.

look no farther than his post tear years.

What about Ronnie in 2002, 04, and 05, and even 06, beating more deserving bodybuilders, namely Martinez.

Levrone may have not deserved to win in 2000, but I don't see how he won in 02, especially being booed off the stage.

in 02 Ronnie looked bad.

in 04 and 05 he still dominated

in 06 he looked like shit and lost.

Dorian looked like shit pretty much from 94 on.

and never was penalized for it.

at least Ronnie was handed his ass onstage when he screwed up.

with dorian the judges looked the other way.

just ask Shawn Ray.

That sounds fine and dandy, but the issue I have is that the same judges that knocked Coleman off were the same ones that judged Yates! Why is it that the judges "allowed" Yates to win and not Coleman? Was it racism?

I know im gonna get slammed for this, but Yates is so over rated.  I will give him 3 sandows AT MOST.  His other 3 belong to Levrone, Ray and Nasser

You are an utter sucker, entirely believing that Weider's contest decisions are beyond reproach with no questions whatsoever. Were you born yesterday? There was not much difference between the winners and losers in the 90s, except to you. You've been successfully brainwashed. You must be the only one who actually believes Columbu was ever the world's best-built man, to use one example.

This side chest of Coleman from 1998 is the best side chest I have seen. Coleman was never better than he was in 98. Of course, I put most stock in conditioning.

He did look amazing in 98. Just look at the rear latspread and he is not even fully flexed. The 2nd pic, he is just ripped to the bone. 3rd and 4th pics are just insane.

typical - talking shit about another WHITE bodybuilder (columbo).

my point is that i think the contest judging was correct in dorian's reign - so do the writer and the other competitors.

that is why i reference contest placings.

it would be no different than referencing a fighter's record with fights based on decisions.

you cry about politics and whatever else, with no support or evidence whatsoever.

but, that is nothing new.  you 've been doing that since page 1.

of course they did.

if you were under contract with weider, would you bash their champion and their judging at their biggest contest of the year?

of course you wouldn't.

you have to think about your paycheck you know.

when Yates was winning, no one was complaining about the olympia 'dynasties' like they do today.

it didn't matter if Ronnie kicked everyone ass everytime he stepped onstage, by the early 2000's the fans were certainly getting bored of the same Mr. Olympia over and over again.

why do you think they had ronnie lose to gunter?

it was to stimulate interest in the contest again.

and it worked until Ronnie showed up in 2003 and murdered everyone.

does this include ronnie, in 98 while with metrx, saying that if showed up vs. dorian, that he (ronnie) would loose?

what does that have to do with anything? ::)

weider athletes were not going to bash the judging and champion of the biggest show of the year for their organization.

this was the 90's, before all the internet feuds and bullshit we see today.

nor was he soley making his living from bbing?

and only a complete fool would ever insist that dorian in his 97 shape could ever beat Ronnie as he looked in 1998:
