The Coleman of today looks like shit compared to that shot. At least when Yates wasn't at his best he still had a great looking midsection in the ab/thigh pose. Coleman's 96 NOC midsection has never been seen since.

The sad part for Coleman was even looking like that - arguably the best he ever looked - he still couldn't beat an on Flex.....

Ronnie was far from his prime in 96. Here are Flex's own words.

Flex Wheeler - MD, February 2004

"I'll go on record as saying Ronnie is truly the biggest, hardest, most shredded Mr. Olympia in history. No disrespect to anybody at all, but I'd to identify Ronnie Coleman as the greatest Mr. Olympia of all time."

and for shits and giggles, let's listen to what Dorian has to say.

Dorian Yates - Radio Interview

"the judges would probably choose Ronnie [over me]."

this debate has become pathetic. The Dorian nuthuggers are so delusional, they resort to making up false claims and accusations. It seems they pull 'facts' from their ass whenever it suits them. I've heard it all - from cries of fake pics to the photoelectric effect to Ronnie fans being racist towards whites. Now apparently Ronnie was at his prime before he won the Mr. Olympia even though every professional bodybuilder and magazine writer disagrees. ::)

Finally, proof that you are fucking blind.

Coleman never ever looked this good when he won the Mr. Olympia. Notice his completely flat midsection, detailed serratus, and striated quads, also something he never had as a Mr. Olympia.

taken entirely out of context.

this was in reference to if dorian came out of retirement.

not if they both competed at their best.

of course, dorian said he would win when asked if both showed up at their best.

he said he had the edge in condition.

I'll accept the words of professional bodybuilders who saw both compete instead of an anonymous person who posts online. By the way, that's funny you are now accusing us of being blind when we've been trying to educate you with pics the whole f*cking time.

posting comparison pics that now are no longer valid (after yates showed he owned ronnie from the back).

nothing is more pathetic than these excuses with no real evidence or support other than speculation and people's opinions.

excuses like politcs, biased judging, or huckster telling us what the judges were thinking, etc, etc.

yawn, what about these quotes? Where they taken out of context too? Come back when you have something intelligent to say. ;)

Peter McGough - Flex, August 2005

"Ronnie sporting that (01 ASC) look would, in my opinion, be unbeatable."

Jean Pierre Fux - Personal Website

"The current Mr. Olympia (Ronnie Coleman). In top shape, probably the best physique that ever stepped on stage."

Paul Dillet - MD, February 2004

"Understand that if Ronnie walked away tomorrow, I do not think anyone can measure up to the standards he has set. Just like Sergio Oliva, an awesome bodybuilder way ahead of his time, and like Flex Wheeler, who had an absolutely perfect, beautiful physique. No one will match Serigo or Flex and now Ronnie."

Steve Blechman - MD, Febrary 2004

"Ronnie perseveres and proves continually that, at his best, he is unbeatable."

Dexter Jackson - Flex, January 2004

"As to Ronnie, that dude is by far the best bodybuilder on earth, he is in a class by himself, and no one will be able to touch him for years to come."

John Hansen, 2x Mr. Natural Universe and Mr. Natural Olympia - Personal Website

"It would be safe to say that [Ronnie Coleman] presented a physique that has never been seen by the bodybuilding world ever before. Competing at an incredibly massive 287 pounds, Ronnie destroyed the competition with a physique that could not possibly be equaled."

Shawn Ray – 2003 Year in Review (Hosted on Bodybuilding.com)

"Ridiculous" Ronnie Coleman would win his 6th Sandow Trophy in a row looking absolutely ridiculous! This guy was from another planet! Ronnie added about a million pounds of muscle from the previous year and squashed the competition on sheer MASS! Unbelievable is what Ronnie was this night!"

i've only been posting quotes since day 1 from lee priest, mcgough, flex wheeler, paul dillet. etc.

now, that you found a few quotes about ronnie, the bbers are now credible?

but, when i was doing it in favor of dorian, it wasnt?

could you be any more of a hypocrite?

Anyone who has seen Ronnie on BFTO 96 knows that Ronnie was never again that ripped with that detailed and tight of a midsection. As a fan of Ronnie, I would most want to duplicate his form in the 96 BFTO....his most-muscular was jaw dropping, even moreso than during any of his Olympia wins as he was more detailed.

try harder, kiddo. There's a big difference between posting a quote from before Ronnie reached his prime saying "Dorian has the best back" and posting one from AFTERWARDS saying "Ronnie is the greatest bodybuilder of all-time." Even a 12 yr old can tell the difference.

Priest competed against both - and stated that Dorian would win. We also had a first hand account from a GetBig member who attended the 93O and 2001AC, both Dorian's and Ronnie's respective bests, and he said that Dorian would win. That first hand account from a non-biased person means 1000x more than anything anybody else posts here.

if these kinda quotes were said about dorian in FLEX, huckster, youself, etc. would bitch about politics.

that is no different than the majority of those guys, who are employed by MD, saying things about ronnie in MD.
