Dorian did so much more with his genetics than anyone else including Ronnie it's not even funny. In the offseason Ronnie eats McDonalds and Jack in the Box, whereas Yates stuck to his strict pre-contest diet with simply more calories. In 2006 the drugs just didn't work the same for Ronnie, he still ate like crap in the offseason by the drugs simply didn't work like they used to. Time to hang it up.

He didn't dominate them firstly, secondly there were in fact politics involved we'll never know how much and third he didn't necessarily do more than some others historically, maybe in comparison with his generation.

This is not domination, except on paper. Listen if there are very questionable scores in the Olympics in opinion-based events are you suggesting it doesn't happen in BB? I want to sell you a bridge in that case.

review of mr. olympia 1999, january 2000, page  90:

257 pounds, a good seven pounds heavier than last year and the clear winner, ALTHOUGH NOT AS BONE DRY OR AS ROCK HARD IN 98.  In comparison to 98, his thighs are enourmous with a greater sweep and his front delts have improved; plus the pec anomaly (gyno) is no longer present.

Impressive split biceps.  An awesome back double biceps on which muscle fights with muscle to hang onto his frame.  A big, big lat spead promted Dorian "backman" yates to comment, "ronnie looks like a cartoon character".  when doing back poses, ronnie would hitch up his trunks to expose ripped glutes.

Nothing could stop the amazing Yates in 1993 as he rocketed the scales at a record 257 pounds in Atlanta. Even runner-up Flex Wheeler called him "untouchable". Yates certainly seemed set for a long reign in the manner of other great Mr. Olympias.

I agree with you Hulkster.. The judging sucks.. Look at Ronnie, the judges were blind to award him up to 8 Olympia titles.

well, I don't know if I would go that far, but ronnie looked like shit that year.

heck, jay wasn't so great either - blocky, back not so great,

he had great quads but not a whole lot else.

he looked good because Ronnie was way off.

Put jay 2001 or even jay 2006 next to a peak ronnie and its game over for jay..
