If Ronnie had stepped onstage with the back mass that he had in 2003, tore lat and all, he would have won. Now, you're right that left/right proportion is evaluated in bodybuilding, but the primary use of the word "symmetry" in bodybuilding refers to the muscles being proportional in size to each other.
