Yates has better abs in most shots, but if we are talking prime, then that pic of Ronnie from 2003 above is pretty damn good, and yes Yates' thighs by modern day standards would get torn apart by the judges, who demand proportional size, not just a 'pronounced sartorious'. Also Ronnie calves were damn big that year, just not highlighted by week quads like with Yates.

Ronnie looks impressive in those 03 shots, one of his better years in terms of waist/stomach size.  However, he is no where near his best in terms of conditioning, nor that of Yates.

Going by your line of reasoning it would be a tie at best.

  Yeah, if there is one thing Ronnie 2003 utterly destroys Dorian at is quadriceps mass, and that's key in that mandatory. Maybe I'm biased, but I think that the abdomen is the focal point of the body - everyone wants a six-pack -, and Dorian has the edge both in separation and waist width when compared to Ronnie at a higher bodyweight.
