I think they picked the "joy" theme to normalize her psychopathic cackling. Her team realized Kamala can't stop laughing and many people have seen that so instead of trying to deny it they just embrace it and rebrand it as "joy". It is a form of "gaslighthing".
I like that VP Harris can laugh naturally without being self-conscious about it. Yes, her laugh may seem over-the-top sometimes, especially to those folks mired in a negative state of mind. There is an old saying which is probably lost on some people today who have had fearfulness, doom, and gloom pounded into their psyche. The saying is: "Laugh and the world laughs with you; Weep, and you weep alone," it is taken from a poem written in 1883 by Ella Wheeler.
The Harris - Walz campaign is about having an upbeat, hopeful and positive outlook on the future. All these emotions are pretty much synonymous with feelings of joy. Feeling joyful is in direct opposition to what Donald Trump and the Trump - Vance campaign is trying to sell to folks.
