You don’t get a redo.   If you bombed it - the second score is averaged with the first score.

I just read this isn’t true any more, but the schools will still see his first horrible score no matter what.

We need confirmation on the Argumentative Writing Sample situation:

https://www.lsac.org/lsat/lsat-scoring

When will I get my score?
All test takers will receive their scores on the score release date associated with their test date, provided they have an approved writing sample on file and do not have any holds on their account. Your LSAT score will be posted to the LSAT Status page of your LSAC JD Account. You will receive an email when your score is available.

If you are a first-time test taker, you must complete LSAT Argumentative Writing, and have it approved, before your score can be released. To help meet this requirement, LSAT Argumentative Writing is available in test takers’ LSAC accounts eight days prior to each test administration.

Who said I bombed it? I just didn't ace it. I think I can ace it if I get through the study material I only made it halfway. But I didn't bomb anything.

That’s how it was when I took it back in 1996.    Old school.

Look man it's not a competition. I want everyone here to succeed at everything. You are probably correct it is a lot of work, and I may not have it in me. I am still going to apply and see what happens. But just not sure why it threatens you? You are a lawyer and have been for 24 years good job someone else taking a law class is not a challenge or threat to your legal credentials and experience.

Dope smoking all day is great study strategy. He can’t finish anything he starts without half seeing or quitting. He only got thru 3 practice tests but will make it thru 3 years of law school.

They actually are pretty strict with checking your government issued identification you can't just hire someone to take it for you. I had a lot going on with buying and selling 2 homes in addition I have been back and forth to Raleigh multiple times. As such I really did not get the time to properly study for the exam. I only took like 3 practice exams. I plan to take the exam again in November. It's not a pass fail exam. I am sure I did ok but ok isn't going to get 46-year-old me with a piss poor GPA from 30 years ago into law school. I need to ace it. I did not ace the first 2 sections. One section is not graded but not sure which one. I aced section 4. I did not ace 1 and 2. I did ok on 3. Grades will be out in a month but I can do better if I can get some more study time and finish the testing sections. I did not finish the prep study material. I would guestimate a 158-162(decent to good score) but I need a 165-170 (a great score) to offset my age and grades but again complete guess. I have not seen results yet.

Piss poor GPA, huh?

A+ on not taking ownership.  No one forced you to take the exam when you did.  YOU chose that date.  All of the things listed were under your control.  Blame shifting at its best right there.

You know what they call people who go to 4th tier schools and pass the bar? Lawyers

I actually look more at the bar pass rates for graduates from schools than the school ratings. My goal is to pass the bar at the end not to impress everyone with the name at the beginning and how much I am paying. Some of the lower rated law schools have higher bar passing rates. The reason is the "lower" tier schools concentrate on teaching their state bar exam. The higher tier schools get students from everywhere so are more general and don't concentrate on their state bar.

For example, Duke does not have the highest bar exam pass rate in the State of NC despite being the highest rated law school and charging an arm and a leg

This year however they adopted a Uniform multistate bar exam so that may change

You live in OBX, just go to Regent University.

It is a well-known fact that many highly intelligent people that are MENSA like categories, do not do well in school because they get bored, as the material is too easy. This is what likely happened to Brian.

More bullshit.

You took the lazy approach. People who work full-time study and successfully take the LSAT all the time. All you had to do was drive for a few hours.

Add another failure to your list. Your excuses show how pathetically weak you are mentally.

What a crock of horseshit.

Your degrees and where you obtained them from are your pedigree in the real world. Maybe once you get a few years into your career your grades may no longer matter, but where you went to school is one of the first vetting categories for companies looking to hire. Your brain is too small and too stoned to realize what an advantage it is in a job interview to have gone to the same University as the CEO sitting across from you. You go ahead and see if your degree from Catawba Community College impresses anyone. Just another losing situation you can twist to relieve yourself of accountability and responsibility for.

You’re a failure, so much so that your lies have become too egregious to cover it up anymore.

Becoming a lawyer requires a ton of work for years, and even then, once you become a lawyer, you realize you don't know a damn thing and it starts all over again.  This is not some "Hey let me see if I like law" and go bomb the LSAT and give up type of deal.  If its what you really want to do , you have to relentlessly pursue that goal wo reservation or distraction.

If I remember I got 151 or something - not that good, but enough to get me into the school I wanted to go to.

I absolutely got better than a 151. I didn't bomb a fucking thing but again I understand taking an exam is step one and you are 25 years in. Taking a sat and graduating college and working 20 years are not the same thing I get that. But again not a competition so no idea why you are so dead set on telling me I can't do it.
