Craig "Silverback" Titus's Parole Hearings -
« on: September 15, 2024, 09:58:01 AM »
Popped up on a true crime channel, thought it might interest some. He seems to be doing well, all things considered -

June 2024 -

.

Earlier -

.

Earliest he may get out is 2026, he's been granted parole, but he still has to do the arson portion of sentence according to some of true crime hounds that got his parole hearing records.

Time sure flies. Almost 20 years has passed. Craig is an old man now. I remember doing evening cardio and listening Bob Chick on pro bodybuilding when they speculated what had happened. I was 20 back then.

Truly prophetic words by mr. Titus on his training video: "Life is good a the present moment"

P.S. - For those watching, maybe watch the earlier one too. There is some overlap, but Titus goes more into the crime on the earlier one, and is more aggressive and almost unrepentant in manner.

Some things that pop up -

1) Craig might become a realtor upon release, he's taking courses for it.

2) Him and Kelly were considering divorce before the murder.

3) He'll most likely be living with an old girlfriend he rekindled his relationship with, this would've been a girl he dated around 1999-2000. No name was given.

4) James's body was taped up in hope to stymie the investigation, and keep her juices/dna from going all over the place.

5) Craig has an associate's degree in theology.

Is he going to compete in the masters Olympia? His receptors must be fresh.

So the victim's life meant nothing.  Both Craig and his wife Kelly should have been put to death long ago.  This was no "accident", neither was it a crime of "passion".  It was vile and when you rearrange the four letters in "vile" you get "EVIL".

I assume it was Kelley, and he took the wrap for her. I’m sure helped with trying to cover it up but to do all that time because your whore wife killed your lover must suck to deal with.

Let’s say he gets out in 2026 I would be willing to bet he will be on every bodybuilding podcast  asking for forgiveness and he’s a changed man he would then get into personal training and doing his own podcast cause what else is he going to do now ?

Craig will make money if he's out in a couple years.  He'll do really well in this clown world. He will be trolled but he'll be popular as hell. It remains to be seen how much he's changed.  Aging and prison are two things that will definitely do that.

She was a junkie as well. If she wasn't killed, she'd likely be in prison herself for credit card fraud/bank fraud, identity theft, etc.. within a year, if she didn't OD first.

I got a bit hung up on a detail , he said "I was a drug addict for 10 months." Before he got locked up I remember someone said he was on meth and Craig said "no, I hate tweakers." So I think he is trying to minimize his drug use and would rather he didn't have to admit he was a junkie, because it's below him as a man. But remember he was busted for dealing with MDMA earlier and "openly" used cocaine for years supposedly. And sure, maybe some can use drugs for a good amount of time without getting "addicted" per se. Opinions vary on this. Titus might still see himself as just a user at one time. In any case, "addiction" may speak to his favor, or maybe not. My assessment of the psychology involved lol.

Dante Doggcrapp said Titus asked him what he could take and still pass drug tests, and Dante said, basically just trenbolone as it was not looked for at the time. Titus said, fuck I can't be a pro bb on that. Then he failed his drug tests.

But she didn't go to prison and she did not OD.  Because she was murdered by Craig and Kelly.

Prison saved his life, if he didn’t serve his time he would have been likely dead from overdosing, or heart attack from the bbing life style

Around the 10 minute mark the man says the arson sentence is 78-180 months and they won't be seeing him for parole on that one for at least 5-6 years.

I think that was just the parole board member throwing out the standard parole date, without adding in his special merit credits. That second parole hearing was surprisingly loose compared to many I've seen.

The Nevada inmate look up is down, but I was able to piece together a few things from old posts we've had over the years, plus Nevada guidelines. The 2026 projected date is really closer to 2027, it's at the end of December 2026. That's if everything goes great for him, plus he gets all his bonus credits. There's another expected Parole date of 2029 that doesn't take into account most of the special credits. And then there's the full ride sentence that would end 2033, where he'd just walk out....  It's just the end.

The special credits, especially the merit credits, are game changer for Craig, we didn't know how many he had, etc.... before, but they do knock a ton of time off of a sentence in Nevada it seems. Here's how they get applied -

https://www.leg.state.nv.us/App/InterimCommittee/REL/Document/2356#:~:text=%E2%80%A2%20PED%20%E2%80%93%20Parole%20Eligibility%20Date,sentence%20would%20expire%20(includes%20credits) .

Page 15 on that is an eye opener, earlier in the book they said they expect average inmates to do a little more than 50% of their time, but with all the special credits, it could get knocked all the way down to only 42% of their sentence.

It's strange in the US because you read up on sentences for stuff like murder were high but people still got out after like 3 or 4 years for even serious crimes. I wonder when it all changed
Edit: like in the 50s and 60s
