Maybe Iran is next. Or maybe Iran sold out Hezbollah for something in return. Who knows what discussions go on behind the scenes. I thought their missile response in April was telegraphed and weak. But I'm no political expert.

Israel has occupied southern Lebanon before. I don't think it is as big a deal to the rest of the world as the media makes it out to be. And I don't think the other Arab countries will do much about it other than make a lot of noise.

In 2006, Lebanon agreed to have the UN keep the area south of the Litani River free of Hezbollah and other people hell bent on destroying Israel.  The UN did nothing while they went into South Lebanon and built up a stockpile of missiles and rockets.

Since October 2023, Hezbollah has fired over 8,000 rockets into Northern Israel, forcing about 60,000 people to not being able to be in the villages in cities.   Israel has repeatedly warned them to stop, only to be told they will not until the war in Gaza is over.   Meanwhile, Israel kept gathering more and more intelligence.  Two weeks ago, they asked over and over again, but Hezbollah said no way.

Now, in a most stunning display of war intelligence that will be talked about in history books over and over again, Hezbollah's entire upper ranks are gone, as well as thousands of rocket launchers.  Not even close to bring them down, hence a ground invasion

Today, Lebanon, after 18 years of letting Hezbollah in the Southern Labanon threatening over and over again, agreed to work on the agreement in 2006. 

When the cease fire is finalized, and Hezbollah will be out of the southern area, people on both sides of the border can go back home, and perhaps one day, establish a border that both sides can agree upon.

What do you think of the people using them as human shields, its a very unfortunate position but unfortunately the only way you neutralise this strategy is to do what they are doing. However, the killing of civilians, women and children is not collateral damage, they are the target a lot of times. I don'tt know what's happening now, but the Israelis promised to cut all aid, all water, everything in a week, then you come out of your holes or you die. When you come out the the hole to surrender, you will probably die anyway. The civilians are the actual targets for assassinations. Shoot a pregnant muslim and it's one shot and it's two terrorist killed. That's if you believe all palestinians are terrorist, a fetus, an infant or an adult. They simply want all of them out.
