Indeed.  For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.  Populism is the opposite reaction to Globalism.

I believe the press is partly responsible for populism around the world. Politicians and government agencies that screw up are also responsible. All of these have been around for many years. What has not been, is social media. Social media is a hotbed of rumors and untruths. Unfortunately, when people don't know who or what to believe, they tend to believe the worst.
