Goes to show, big arms is what makes someone look big, this guy looks small in a shirt from all the pics and videos I have seen
You're entitled to your opinion. In my opinion BB is exactly right, the "density" he had still shines through, whatever that is it still shows. I think big arms looks great and youthful in a way, if you have those full muscle bellies. On many the muscles start getting shorter looking and damaged looking so if you have nice looking arms you look young. But I can think of a number of bodybuilders who don't look imposing and powerful yet have big arms.
Rory looks fucking amazing, and iirc he trains way too heavy with short ranges, the type of training that can damage you, you would think.
I don't remember how long Dorian had that torn arm, the triceps included, if he tore the tri on his last prep or what, but he was able to retain size for a while the muscles were dying.
Edit: I wonder if anyone here has noticed this aging sign on themselves or other bodybuilders. The muscle at the elbow on the upper side of the forearm, too lazy to look up what it's called, starts to shrink or dissapears when you get older. I noticed it and saw some comments about it on another forum. Someone had a theory on it, it's probably from a lifetime of wide grip pulldowns especially, and I also think it's really stressed on those.
One of the very first sad signs of aging on bodybuilders is you get a wrinkle on your lower pec line. You see the skin fold on Dorian but he's 62 but it starts at about 40. That's when you're no longer at your best. Just things you notice when you are bodybuilding-damaged.
