in federal law anyone who serves a single day is technically a veteran however in the forces its accepted to be 2 years ACTIVE service

A minimum service requirement exists. Service members must have served a minimum of 24 months of active duty to be considered a veteran. If the service member becomes disabled because of their time in the service, there is no minimum length of service to qualify for VA benefits.

Because I do not have copies of the paperwork I would need to prove it and do not feel like being called a liar. I have requested some of it.

However anyone who has served active duty is classified as a veteran by the government there is no minimum service just for certain benefits and of course that is unless it was medical then there is no minimum even for benefits. Regardless anyone who served is a veteran.
