Narcisists do not overcome anything, not even the victims their apparently discard.
They have a stunted limbic system due to trauma in childhood. It's like losing a limb, it won't grow back. They are unable to feel empathy like normal people. They live in constant pain and anguish, and their goal is to seduce and capture others to make them feel their pain. Empty vessels.

By the man's own words, calling it "overwhelming" and adress it as a "condition" is his way to take no responsability for his behaviour and victimize himself. Typical narcisist.

Yes, or they could have Neanderthal or Neanderthal like genetics “researchers suggest there could have been subtle differences in emotional regulation or social behaviors, but direct evidence is scarce. The study of Neanderthal brain structures is largely based on fossilized skulls and comparisons with modern human and primate brains, rather than on soft tissue that doesn’t preserve well.”

Many scholars oppose calling narcisism a disorder because it gives the narcisist ammunition to claim (once more) he is a "victim" of the disorder, and (again) take no responsability for their despicable behaviour.
