I mean, obviously it was the greatest competition, but it just seems like the past decade or so. It’s just been water down with shitty bodybuilders competing. I feel like it’s lost it ever since The  schmoes passed away 5 to 10 years before that the Ronnie Cutler era anybody agree?

I used to be big into muscle and fitness and flex mags back in the 90s. It’s just sad to see what this competition has done these days. I can’t tell you the last time I followed, but it had to been somewhere around Jake. It’s just gotten so bad to see it’s legacy what it is.

Could not tell you who won the last several years.  Totally stopped paying attention to the O.  What's the purse for the winner these days?  I know they added lots of other categories for men and women but the Master's seem to disappear forever.

I haven't followed it since Heath lost.  I know Flexatron beat him (I think that was who), then Brandon won, after that I have no idea who placed where.  When I see contest results now of the ASC or NY Pro or whatever, I have no idea who those guys are.

It's kind of funny.  Because pre-social media, everyone on here could ID the top BBers and recite contest placings years prior.  Just from magazine articles.  Now it's the opposite with social media and a greater increase in exposure, nobody really knows who any of the guys are anymore.

More people are following the Olympia this year than any other, but the majority are more silent than before.   The contest is sold out, but while the main event of pro bodybuilding open is still there, a lot of excitement is generated in the classic division with Chris and all, and other divisions.

I was the same way.........I know who a lot of pretty obscure bodybuilders are to this day.

I must have have read every "muscle book" a zillion times over from cover to cover.
