My guaranteed contract for SF school after basic somehow got unguaranteed something about needs of the Army. We were at war at the time in Afghan and Iraq was heating up and they all of a sudden needed more SF people and all the spots filled up or some shit. I guess you can ask my recruiter about that. They never sent me to SF School I never even got the opportunity to try. I thought my cousins husband would get me into the Ranger school at least when I got to Basic and they told me SF filled up. My cousin husband was company commander of the 3rd at the time. SF and Rangers both go to Infantry basic. So I figured I would get to go to Ranger school at least after basic no problem right? Nope no spots available again so I got assigned to be an 11 Charlie mortarman instead and sent to Germany. Well at least I will get to see some action in the war right? Nope again I got sent to Kosovo maybe they will send me back for the team trials I qualified for in Germany bwhaha. You don't get to pick where you go and what schools you get in the middle of 2 wars and they sure as fuck don't send you back from deployment for the team trials.
