I think it depends on which type of American they run into.

if its the proper US male like robc, old-timer, krank sc etc then they will know their place very quickly

but if its your other type of american- the camp type who ride tricycles with flags and get upset about skateboards then the gangs have as long as it takes for this type to cower and call the police until they need worry about any resistance.
