Out of all the bodybuilding shows and the bodybuilders on stage, I don’t think I’ve ever heard of someone falling off the stage. It’s not rocket science to walk off a stage without falling. It’s highly concerning and sad in my opinion how he treats his son on camera.

 There was a video of his son clearly uncomfortable on an elliptical in the background…and Mike was just rambling on camera, not close by him for safety…and it seemed like he was forcing him to keep working out when he clearly did not want to.

Then there’s a video of him making him bench and his shoulders were all collapsed and Mike kept forcing him to lift the weight.

And I didn’t like the video of when his son was yelling out in the background and Mike just yelled back at him but seemed like he was mocking him.

He seems more concerned with himself and his workouts instead of interacting with his son. Maybe it’s different off camera? But it seems like his wife and friends interact better with his son. Mike just seems like he’s using his son as a social media tool to make himself look like a good family man and a caring person. But then we have the video of him calling his client a retard.

Most people in the industry usually change a bit when they have kids and become less selfish and devote more time to their family. Having kids typically changes them (for the better).

Mike doesn’t seem like he altered his lifestyle after having a kid. If anything, it’s like he became more selfish, busier, and more self absorbed.

 Almost like his thinking is that he can keep focusing on himself and it’s fine because he’s got a kid. Like that excuses his selfish ways and gives him a pass because of his son at home. I’m kind of confused why he felt like he had time to raise a child when he seems more focused on his fitness and low budget film to DVD career.

I'm the last person to comment on parenting, not being a parent myself, but made me think of something I saw. A Navy Seal saw his son dangling from a tree monkeying around. He thought, if I don't let him learn his lesson now, what if he falls having climbed higher, he could die? Another time they were at a climbing gym and the kid got higher than he would have liked, he thought if he falls now he will at least break a leg. But ultimately he let him do it. The kid had expressed some interest in following his father's footsteps and helicoptering would certainly not be conducive to that. Kids burn their hands on a stove once and hopefully learn their lesson. Nowadays many kids have helicopter parents and they are soft, our parents and their parents kicked the little kids out the door to go play outside by themselves all day, they could climb in terrain and mountainous areas, go swimming, whatever. Now they can't do anything, forget walking to school even

I see what you’re saying and understand. But Mike’s son seems to possibly be special needs. From video clips of him that he’s previously posted, his son seems to have a bit of trouble controlling his body and with balance/coordination. He was also on a cardio equipment that appeared to be not stable on the floor. Mike should have been somewhat closer to his son. Or at the least, should have been facing him. He had his back to him as he spoke on camera. God forbid the machine tipped over or he lost his balance and fell. Mike didn’t have to be on top of him with hands out ready to catch him/paranoid of falling…but he should have had eyes on him and been closer. Instead of being so concerned of filming a video for views.
