I would get either Ironmaster, Trulap, Power blocks, Nuobell, Snode or one of the other adjustable options. I just found out a competitor copied Ironmaster at a fraction of the price. The name escapes me but it would worth a look.
Having said that if you have a waist high strong table you could fill it with plates and two spin lock dumbbell bars. I can make two one hundred pound dumbbells quick. The part sticking out isn't a problem. For stuff like incline dumbbell presses you can angle them easily on your thighs to kick them up.
