How about one adjustable pair Big Guy ?Would I be automatically disqualified?
Dumbbells are all you can have and you can only have 5 pairs, what weights you gonna have in your gym?I would have 25s,35s,55s,70s and 100s.
20, 30, 40, 50, 60. After crossing 50 years old, i don't go under 20-25 reps these days. No use for heavy weights.
After crossing 50, I routinely do doubles, triples, and sets of 5.But to each his own.No right or wrong. But I am more curious about the context of what is going on in the world where we are limited to 5 sets.It would be difficult to enforce. The logistics and tracking would be a nightmare.
I’m a fair bit junior to you, but I notice that higher reps with moderate weights tend to make me feel tendon pain more frequently than lower reps with more weight. Two wheels for sets of 10-12 hurts way more than a 5x5 with 3 wheels. Caveat to that for me is shoulder presses. I would keep with the 25’s , 45’s, 60’s, 80’s and 100’s.
11 to 44 lbs set, you don't need more to build all muscles you want.
When I started training, I had 25,40,50,75,105. now in my dotage, I can get by with 10,15, 20, 25,30. anything more and it's injury city.
5,15,20,35, (is what I actually have at home)I might get the 45's by xmas .... WooooSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh
