Yeah, you should be completely safe in Lakeview, Oregon. According to the 2020 census it had a population of only 2,418. What is more, in the last Presidential election only 18% of the folks voted Democrat. You will be in home territory. You can relax at Hunters hot springs resort where you can soak in a natural hot spring.

Wong... my front door is in West Linn, a suburb 12 miles outside of Portland. The only BLM protesters I saw anywhere near here, were maybe a dozen kids from West Linn High School with signs standing near the 205 onramp a couple of miles away. There was virtually nothing defaced or damaged in the City of West Linn.

I do not downplay the BLM protest events in Portland. The rioters and demonstrators caused a lot of destruction, mostly in downtown Portland. Some of which have yet to be repaired like replacing or repairing the many statues/monuments they toppled and defaced. But having driven into downtown Portland not too long after those events, it was clear that the media overplayed it, giving people the impression the city was burnt to the ground. The damage was limited to a few blocks in downtown Portland.

BTW, unlike your friends in Portland, I have never owned a gun and don't plan for ever getting one. Nor have I ever committed an act of violence or intentionally damaged any property. In fact, I have never participated in a protest that was violent... and yet I definitely consider myself a leftist or liberal, politically.

I didn't "wish" for anything. I said it was inevitable and if Trump would have been killed it would have happened. I've always said be ready and train and if it came to my neighborhood I wouldn't hesitate if it meant protecting my family. IMO, we're not not out of the woods yet.
