It’s an absolute train wreck cluster fu*k.
Nippard may be an annoying influencer, but the fact that he is special needs and got shoved I think is what is making people uncomfortable. It’s like if a Down Syndrome weight lifter is mocking someone and they get shoved. Yeah, they shouldn’t be mouthing off. Having special needs doesn’t give you a free pass to run your mouth. You still need to be careful. And Jeff unfortunately learned a valuable lesson from this. Moving forward, he needs to have caution and think about the words coming out of his mouth and not just fall back on his special needs as an excuse to bully people online and sling insults left and right.
His stumble and somersault didn’t look too painful? But now I have heard discussion of Jeff setting up a GoFundMe to help him with his hospital bills and possible surgeries as a result of this incident.
The other thing that kinda stands out to me and makes me question this whole mess is Jeff’s statement of having his camera man filming in case Mike tries something with him. That makes it seem to me that Jeff was hoping for something to happen order to bait Mike and create content. If Mike and him had never had altercations before, and Jeff never was scared for his safety based on past history, why would he need a camera man standing by ready to capture something if Mike tried something? Why would he think something would happen just by saying “sup?”
And Jeff looks like he’s smiling when he’s sitting on the floor. And why did it seem like the camera man wasn’t worried about Jeff’s safety after? Instead of going over to him, he just pans right over to Jeff. Looks very staged. And if I were the one who got assaulted and my life put in danger (according to Jeff is how he makes this out to seem), my first move wouldn’t be to running to social media and start posting a sob story. Posting on social media would be last thing on my mind.
This nonsense seems to be a recurring theme in this toxic gym culture with these lunatic influencers. First, Evan Centopani assaulting the Asian teen in the gym. Then Guy Cisternino freaking out at the laughing gym members when he hack squatted. And now Jeff Nippard fighting for his life and feeling the wrath of Big Mike.
Hopefully, this will be a wake up call to the influencers and will make them think long and hard about the words they use and the possible repercussions from their words about others.
