Looking at photos of Mike’s dad, you get a different story than the one he tells. He talks about his dad like he was this powerhouse—boxing in the military, weighing 270 pounds at just 5'9", and built like a brickhouse. But in one photo, there’s a younger Sr. holding Mike as a kid, and he actually looks pretty normal—solid, but not the monster Mike describes. Later on, you see an older version of Sr., who’s gone morbidly obese with thick calves, but definitely not the '22-inch melons' Mike likes to hype up. It feels like Mike’s memory is a bit idealized, seeing his dad through a lens of pride.
Same with him saying he put on 45 pounds in a month naturally, although he was one of the most solid pros personalitywise and being a genetic freak of highest order, he was also a bit delusional imo.
