Any regular listener knows the deal. They do attempt to fact check in real time to an extent, but it's impossible to do over a three hour conversation.
Anyway, what misinformation do you think he's spreading that's harmful?
The topics of his show are so broad there is no way possible for an average person to possibly know enough about everything to personally know what is truth or not.
Remember, average person stays engaged the crazier shit gets. He used to have a mix of highly qualified individuals and offset with comedians. He seems to have replaced many of those comedian spots with unqualified story telling. Those episodes are actually quite interesting.
An example is the interview with Terrance. Terrence spewed crazy everywhere and Joe ate it up. Some thought Joe was just trying to get loads of crazy out of the guy but Joe has said in later podcasts that Terrence is crazy smart, reaffirming to listeners he is believable.
I don’t want to get into a big Rogan thing but it’s just to point out the standards. Joe and followers are ok to have people tell us pyramids were once floating above water as a truth but in this critical US election, the VP of the alternate side wants to talk for only an hour but that is outrageous. Some flexibility would be good. So we get 3hrs Trump, 4hrs Vance, 0hrs alternate side…..that’s not good.
I am centre right and would vote Trump yet I am getting shouted down from people on the right just for suggesting I’d like to hear a Kamala interview. It feels like the right will get blind sided here.
Do you feel those perceived standards are reasonable? Do you think I am looking at it wrong?
