He had a good physique, but it really to my honest opinion didn’t stand out because nothing nobody part really stood out. Was he overrated? Let’s post some amazing pics and get this thread going maybe was better than everyone thought.

Very balanced. I actually think he was overlooked a lot. I think he was more complete and consistent than both Kevin and Flex.

Never saw anyone say that. Everyone says he was underrated. If you revisit now you can see he was simply very, very good.

Nothing in particular stood out because he was symmetrically balanced.

Far from overrated........one of the best ever!!

Underrated because he also could have been better but didn’t put 100% in. I remember one magazine where it showed him on the bike doing cardio and he had hooked up a PlayStation or Sega. He would also party a lot and the dancing and not eating counted as cardio for him.

That`s very true, but he did well in the toughest era there was.

As you said though, if he was more serious he more than likely would have done even better.

One of the times he got 2nd at the Arnold I remember thinking he got robbed. I was in college and it was to Jay so early 2000’s I guess.

Years ago on here, there was a guy that told me without telling me Cormier was not a good person. He was adamant about it but when pressed for details, he wouldn't say and asked that I not ask anymore. That always stuck with me. Don't remember who he was here may still be around.

No he wasn't overrated because every single person who ever mentioned Cormier on this board for the last 20+ years basically at one point said the exact same you thing you just did. No standout bodyparts.

Except the bit about being overrated - nobody rated him that highly because of the no standout.

Most bodybuilders are known for a particular body part, which in reality is a fault

If someone walks out onstage and you think "wow look at his arms/legs" its a fault

Bob Paris suffered with the same curse of symmetry.
