This has a lot to do with taking care of yourself and planning ahead though, doesn't it? This guy gives a lot of life advice out for someone who doesn't have a roof over their head, or actual hvac heat, when living in cold ass upstate NY; at the age of 70, with his mother-in-law.  It's probably her house as well.
