What was up with Rosie Perez as a commentator OMG worse than the fight
She`s a HUGE boxing fan and attends all the big fights, but sounds like Minnie Mouse with a Brooklyn accent.  :(

She's a big fight fan, has been doing play-by-play on her social media for years for free. Fans weren't feeling it, but we might see her again doing these things as they hope to get more women into the fights. (edit - see Wes's post.)

----------------

Best part of the fight was that lead up interview with the little girl.

That being said, I hope we don't get the "Fuck Legacy, Get Money" tour from Mike. Seems like he might want more of these sideshow fights.

He's got legal issues. I bet he ends up fighting the brother for another sad payday.

This was... well, not what I expected.  Tyson started to look like he wanted to be anywhere else but in a boxing ring after the first round.   I like Mike, and I really wanted him to knock Paul the fuck out.  But no.   :'(

Paul couldn't knock out a near 60 year old man on one leg, but whatever.

Thought similar - when I saw Tyson's face pre fight in the ring, he looked tired and old.  Nothing like the training videos.

That would not be surprising.  Seriously, what else does he have in life?  Education?  Professional skills?  Hobbies?  Parenthood?  It’s not like he can find a second life as a TV commentator. ::)

His podcast does some big numbers.

There is an episode with Rosie where she talks about some wild nights with Mike in the 90’s I think.

People also ask
How much money is Mike Tyson worth right now?
$10 million
Regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time, 58-year-old Mike Tyson has an estimated net worth of $10 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

How much money is Mike Tyson making for the Jake Paul fight?
around $20 million
According to Forbes, Paul, 27, was one of the highest-paid athletes in 2022, when he made an estimated $45 million. Meanwhile, neither Tyson nor fight promoters have disclosed what his payday would be, though some industry experts have put it around $20 million

IIRC,I believe Mike paid off the coin he owed to the IRS some time ago.

this was a master con job on paul and mikes side alot of those training clips mike posted where from his training camp he had with roy jones, his power is gone as well he never hurt paul once.

mike did this for a cash grab pure and simple he knew he couldnt fight anymore. he quit in his last to pro fights.

How old are you and do you have any I mean any experience in boxing? I think you are too young to remember George Foreman. Body Building and Fighting are two different worlds

Paul went easy on Mike after the first round. He held back for sure. He could have knocked Mike out at any time but did not want to.

Props to Mike for taking all the jabs. It looked a bit like slow torture. I felt bad for him. I like Mike!

These guys better cash in on these "exhibition" fights while they still can.  As stupid as the general public is, many of them are finally getting fed up with these orchestrated, cash-grab fights.

I predict a severe backlash for these types of fights, sooner rather than later, to the point where they become almost non existant.  I mean right after the fight, you had Paul saying he should be fighting for a title, and Tyson saying that he might not be done fighting yet..... ::)

They are legally robbing people in plain site.  And they will continue to do it, as long as the public still watches.

It's beyond WWE level of rigged.

He doesn’t need anymore money, he’s gotta be worth a few hundred million for being a worthless dipshit. I envy his self promotional skills but truly despise him like no other.

Both fighters held back.

They were allegedly 'told' to make it a good fight, at least 6 rounds, etc.    Tyson could of knocked him out in the 2nd round but held ack, kept biting his glove so he can think of his 20 MILLION dollar payout, etc.  After that, Jake could of easily knocked him out.   Looked like two 'friends' in the ring for some fun making millions.

What Netflix realized is that they could not handle a live stream event.  Here in Los Angeles, Spectrum's all three of their Netflix servers were over capacitated, leaking to hundreds of thousands not even to be let on, or getting stopped in the middle of loading.   Both were unprepared on the sheer volume of people using their Network servers.

Everyone seriously buys this?  Now Auddie Attar and Nikisa Bidarian are hanging out in the cigar lounge talking Mcgregor Paul terms. These are the early days of professional wrestling. Bring back the "its real" gimmick and focus on the promotion. Why risk getting hurt? .In the first 30 seconds, Mike is toying with Paul's footwork. He's a master, Paul goes back without throwing punches, Mike cuts the angle and walks him into left hooks he never throws. It's Tyson Spinks but Mike doesn't open up. He accidentally rocks Paul with a jab but doesn't follow up. Then later in the fight when Tyson gets exhausted Paul honors his word and doesn't hurt him. No way Netflix, MVP, Nevada Athletic Commission, the various lawyers and insurance companies that negotiated this would ever risk a Tyson death. With teenage kids he's about to send to college? Paul was in charge of this deal as Tyson Ranch needs Paul's demographic more than Paul needs Tyson's. So he wanted twice the pay and the win. No one gets hurt. Tyson calls out Logan after the fight in the ring! Hell yeah, $20 million for this? You can see Logan and Jake are like "Mike you can't be so fucking obvious about the scam" and neither of them sell it. Like LC Luco said "a legacy is what you get instead of gettin paid". Good for Mike. I'm sure his teenage kids knew Daddy was safe and can pay for private college with private condo with car near campus.

I don't really know anything about boxing but to me it looked like Mike did nothing the whole fight, there was no instance of him doing anything noteworty. What I noticed was how the crowds were all praying Mike would do something, everytime Mike even took half a step forward the crowd screamed like now something great was going to happen.
Obviously they didn't take Mike off his mood stabilizers suring the run-up. Should have dosed him with meth and pcp beforehand. Mike probably prepared using the pacifist drugs, shrooms and weed.

I tought the same. Pre fight he looked bored and tired. With his backround and all the hype leading to this, how else can that be?

Sigh.
