I figured if Trump won it would be close and if Harris won it would be more like a landslide.
So much for that prediction lol.
Many Trump supporters predicted Trump would win big and they were correct.
To me, the election showed democracy in action. Trump won decisively. Although I am still not a fan of Trump I do have optimism (not enough to go full MAGA like Vince lol).

Then they put up a candidate that doesn't really have a track record of leadership at the level needed to be a POTUS hoping that the fact she is kind of black and a woman will get the win.
You have 2 wars still raging with no real end in sight
Although inflation slowed down, prices are still high in the grocery store.
Then you have Kamala saying lets just all come together as her main message.
No wonder Trump won (not taking anything away from his victory). He faced a complete media full Nelson against him along with a weaponized justice system in some areas.
So even though I don't fucking like the guy. I do in fact support him as POTUS and am optimistic for his presidency.
As for why the board has been so quiet. Its too bad. This politics board over the last 10 years or so hasn't really been enough about productive discussion about these issues. Instead its filled with personal attacks or attacking one's POV or party they support so much it becomes a personal attack. Some posters seem to only post personal attacks or vicious attacks about someone's party they support.
Again it's too bad. This forum has been great at times. During my frequent posts about Trumps fraud trial I gained a new perspective in my discussions with Grape, Dos and others. I wish we could have more of this.
