It seems so many life outcomes are correlated to IQ. Many say the test mean nothing much but "IQ tests" are used everywhere to qualify people to school, jobs etc, the score corrlates almost perfectly with the LSAT or whatever, they are just called something else. The saying goes, life is an IQ test. I think it was Wiggs who recently said IQ tests are bullshit. I was just casually discussing this with a friend, I said they obviously mean something and he got really offended, thought I was saying I probably had a higher IQ than him. Not at all, he has a much higher IQ and his life trajectory is also "better." Maybe I'm too stupid to understand IQ tests are bs. It's correlates with all sorts of things, like longevity and health too.
The resistance to admitting that they tell alot I think has to do with racism fears, and especially the 15 point difference between african americans and euro americans, that has not changed despite many interventions.
