shoulder injury options (chemical)
« on: November 14, 2024, 07:43:54 AM »
OK basic rundown is this. Both shoulders have decades of wear and tear from heavy training. In addition to that a few years back I was hit and knocked flying by a reversing forklift. Damage and a clot in my right thigh from the contact with said forklift that required surgery but I'm upright and walking. BUT I landed very awkwardly and dislocated my right shoulder. IT went back in of it's own accord almost immediately afterward as I struggled to get up and fucked around with it a bit. Stupidly I thought it was hurt but would heal. Some years later I finally got xrays and ultrasound. A snapped ligament and a number of partiallly torn tendons (bicep and shoulder and rotator cuff stuff smd something to do with the scapula) I have no probs with rowing/pulldown/chin movements it turns out. Can bench with a particularly narrow grip and carefully planned bar path/groove. I 'can' do military presses, but the only way to do so is with dumbells and swing them up almost like a snatch movement and start from the upright end of motion position and lower them down 'as if' doing a behind the neck press. Any further forward with the dumbells and the shoulder sort of locks up in the bottom position, even with excessively light weight and is a no go. And of course all/any rehab-prehab shouder exercises (face pulls etc)

Surgery was not and is not an option. I was working 6 days/week away from home and earning enough money for my family's future. Blue collar for life, but doing ok. I've recently changed roles (I work in transport) and am locally based exclusively now, so home every night. This means I can finally train again. I simply can't take 6-12 months off work for surgery/healing. I do ok financially but not 'that' bloody good. What I can do is train/rehab as much as I can to strengthen other supporting muscles and make the best of a bad situation, and can realistically afford to look at some sort of steroid/gh combo. I did use the former back in my 20s and have some idea on that front, what I don't really have a good handle or experience with is gh.

I realise that this is FAR from an ideal solution, but I made my choices because pain and compromised movements were a better option than letting my family down and going off work. (and I'm no fucking hero, I reckon most blokes would do the ame) but it's the state of the union so to speak.

Assuming I can get real stuff (not that hard in Australia to be honest) could some of the learned people here weigh in on whether or not there might be any hope of improvement of the tendons/ligaments that aren't completely snapped and if so would anyone care to speculate as to what sort of dosing protocol/amount might be worth considering. regular gear wise I was thinking something basic like a combination of a moderately long acting test ester (cyp or enanthate) for convenience and some deca on top. Nothing extreme, but still serious - perhaps something like 600-800mg per week in total with about 2/3 being the test ester and the remaining 1/3 deca. I've heard varying reports on a few peptides and or sarms, but to be honest sourcing them is not quite as reliable here and I'd rather not waste time adding the extra variable as far as product being legit goes.

TL/DR version: tore tendons and ligaments in shoulders a few years ago, any thoughts on possible benefits of test/deca/gh combo and if so any thoughts as to dosage ?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer any thoughts. Criticisms and negative feedback with be equally welcome without me losing the slightest hint of my sunny disposition.

From my own experience: Ostarine and MK677.

Used Ostarine (12mg) for my shoulder and by the end of the 7 weeks I was benching higher than before.

MK677 (20mg) I used for over a year for my patella tendon and cartilage under the kneecap and am able to squat again.

I also believe using MSM has helped.

A close friend of mine had bad shoulder issues and he started on 150mgs test weekly with 75mgs deca weekly and 10mgs of nagar daily and he feels so much better. All are pharma grade. And the nagar he runs for 12-16 weeks then breaks for the same. Test goes up to 250 and deca up to 150 from April-sep then back down. Been doing this for 2 years now. Guy looks great is 49 and seemingly in great health.

Many here believe bpc157 and tb500 help noticeably. I dont know about sourcing these there but
they are so ubiquitous everywhere it seems.

Regarding the GH, and anyone with more experience can tell me if I'm full of it, a dose of just one or two iu might be a good idea as a general mild soft tissue support with the steroids. However, if higher doses are used some feel like it actually causes joint pains because of the water retention pressing on nerves or whatever.

Just thinking about this, I remember a few years ago the was hype around cissus quadrangularis extract for joint problems, I actually have a free bottle here and I must eat them and see if there is any effect  :D I dont know what the evidence status for glucosamine is but might be something for a tiny effect. And yeah, the collagen is dirt cheap potential supporter as French said. Many believe in curcumin as well. Just wild brainstorming, hard to say which might be worth the money  8)
