The amount of food he was able to eat is what separate pro's from gym rats. Forget the drugs. And his bud Ronnie, 48 cans of tuna a day???

I remember the old school Met-RX. In fact, there's an ad for it in one of my old magazines I just put back on the shelf: MuscleMag International, issue 125, page 149. Lee Labrada was the guy endorsing it at the time, along with Cory Everson's ex-husband, Jeff, who was using it to help him win the Masters Nationals.

One was called "Met-Rx Plus (red top); the other was called "Met-Rx Base (black top)".

Was it that good? Better than MegaMass?

Muscle Milk was probably one of the best tasting proteins I used in the past. Likely has a lot of crap in it, only powder I use now is Isopure low carb.

Much better although MegaMass wasn't too bad.

For most men, Tony Freeman's current condition (at age 58!) represents an actually ideal physique.  Big but not too big, lean but not too lean, easy to maintain on minimal gear (possibly even TRT + Primo + a SARM or something), not a manlet, not grossly deformed and ruined by injuries, and very athletic-looking.  I am impressed.

And keep in mind that wasn't even a Top Top tier guy, more like a 8-10th place at the Olympia. :D

I have seen old ads where it was claimed that it was so "powerful" they couldn't mix it in the same containers, hence two.

It (Met-Rx) was voted the second best promotional advertising campaign in bodybuilding.  Cybergenics was the first.

I believe that Met-Rx was the first company to start putting out the individual dose packets as well.

Met-rx is probably the best and most consistent product ever made

I used to get them for 50p each a few years ago buying online short dated stock
They are very expensive now

The meal replacement used to be used as a diet on its own, I remember John Citrone saying he used to have six a day and nothing else while prepping

You can mix them and leave them to set  overnight, its like eating Angel delight

Ha ha.. Never saw that one (ad), but I did like the stuff. When prices went absurd, I just chose less expensive protein.

I trained with him a good bit when I lived in Atlanta.  I was friends with Harold who was Ice Train in WCW (and I. M. Smooth) and he and Freeman was very good friends.  I would catch them sometimes at Golds on Buford (the one Flair used to own).  Very nice guy.

When I was into bodybuilding in college, I liked his physique because he was taller and aesthetically pleasing (no homo). When people talk about Chris Cormier being underrated I always think about Tony. He was the underrated one.

What was his training like?

Met him before, nice guy

Insane build

Didn’t train super heavy

I mean the foundation was built with heavy weights
