Bullshit! It is way easier today. In 1925 only 5-10% of high school grads went to college. Today it is 61-62%. Over 60% of college grads today are women which is all you need to know.

It is harder today that it was in the 1920s onward. there were way fewer people applying for college in the 20s, 30s 50s etc, there are is a way larger pool now and thus lower acceptance rates then the time you are citing.
