Ive been self employed most my adult life but have had a few jobs over the years , one I’d been there for several years and was called into office one morning for low production numbers the day prior which wasn’t my fault as I needed to wait for a finisher before I could turn each stone out and finishers worked 2-3 benches at once so wasn’t always available, I offered my reasons to no avail and was “told off” by the foreman and owners son and told this is officially a “verbal warning”, I simply asked if they were finished they said yes I told them go fuck themselves and got my stuff and left never went back. There’s always work out there for people willing to graft nobody ever needs to put up being treated like shit
