In all fairness, you hear both sides these days.

You hear about kids just running amock, then you’ll hear someone complain about declining birth rates because zoomers aren’t fucking.

I think that the youngsters are fucking less, but the ones that are sexually active are just getting plowed through.

Girls were suckin and fuckin when I was young too. I had many a sexual exploit, this isn’t new.

Birth rates are not declining because zoomers aren't fucking, they are declining because housing and living costs have become utterly insane in many areas so that even with a pretty well-paid job u got no chance to have a family with kids while keeping some sort of an at least remotely sophisticated lifestyle, so many just say "f*ck it" and stay single or DINK

While I can appreciate the cost of property argument, I think it’s more an excuse being used as a gateway to justify spending more on distractions.

Why aren’t you married? Oh property is so expensive. Why no kids? Property is so expensive. Hey why didn’t you mow your lawn or clean your house? Oh I’m flying to an another city to see Taylor Swift which was $600/ticket this weekend then we are off to Bali for 2 weeks.

Our society structure with social media chases instant gratification and avoid anything hard. Buying a home, getting married, having kids is hard. Kills your lifestyle.

young people have no money but they all have a $1k phone with a monthly contract

When I bought my first house it was 3 times my yearly salary, now its 6-8 times depending on where you are.

Truly something to be said about this.

Every single under 30 year old that I know that doesn’t have a house and kids etc has $1200 in car payments, another $300 in digital subscription services, hits dodgers or lakers games at least once a month then hits the bars for $200 a night every weekend.

Our grandparents weren’t spending 3k a month on frivolities.

That's why they had to make children all the time, because they had nothing else to do. We've come full circle. :D

Pretty much.

The blame currently being pushed is inflation causes it. That is incorrect.

The 70s broke the birth rates id argue due to the creation of consumerism and technology which had  never existed on the mass population level before. This resulted in prevention or withholding of family wealth being passed down and a breakdown of the family economy of scale via unity and priority of young family members.

To reverse birth rate decline, requires the creation of multi-generational living and restoration of family economy of scale. A huge Reduction of consumption taking us back to the level during the 50s-60s.

On topic, OF stupidity was created out of this mess. When women aren’t married, aren’t having kids, don’t want to get a job, this is what happens.

imagine just how much money is spent on phones alone, that wealth would be enough to end world hunger
Kids at 5 years old have a fucking 1k phone, older kids sometimes have at leasty two phones because they have contracts their  parents cant get out of

Everything else we have now , its a throwaway society, nothing gets repaired anymore, TV, cooker, washing machine conks out we buy another

When my mum and dad bought their first house they slept on a mattress for 6 months because they couldnt afford a bed.
Back then a mortgage was the only loan people took out, it was shameful to be in debt.
Now its everything on credit

we had fuck all growing up, we had one holiday from when I was about 6 years old, a week at Pontins holiday camp, we didnt have a car, in fact we played football in my street, almost no one had a car, same street now has been made one way and has cars parked both sides of the road 24/7

Kids these days and young adults have a fucking breakdown if they cant get a signal on their phone

In the U.S. the state of West Virginia just outlawed cell phones in the classroom starting January 1st. Expect epic meltdowns.

Yeah, but it's not them to blame, that's how they grew up from day 1.

There were some funny stories in the news from elementary school kids, I think somewhere in Scandinavia, who were completely overwhelmed and unable to handle the school books they got handed out on the first day of school because they had never seen a book before in their lives. They were trying to swipe and zoom in with their fingers on the pages of the books and were flabbergasted as it didn't work because they had only used smartphones and tablets up until this point :D

It will be interesting to see how this generation will be able to keep our society running in a few decades

they wont, with net zero we are haeding towards a return to the middle ages pre the industrial revolution.
Everyone will be reliant on technology and then when the electricity fails the entire planet will shut down

Imagine now the electricity grid collapses, all transport will stop , the street lights wont work, buildings will be in darkness, no computerised systems running, shops wont be able to trade, all your money in the bank will simply disappear, no opne will know what fucking time it is (most kids these days cant tell the time on a fucking clock)

I’ve done my fair share to offset white replacement.

Kids aren’t all that dissimilar to when I was kid, I’m no geezer, and got a cell a phone around the same age as kids these days. Mine just flipped and didn’t have the internet.

Kids want to play outside still, want to watch cartoons on TV, and want to ride bikes. They just have e-bikes now.

In many ways athletics is way more serious than it was when I was a kid. There’s some strange kids, but reading about it all the time on twitter makes you think that every other kid is a furry. Nah.

Yes, I do. A teenager.

I also built a property that caters for 3 generations at a very high level quality of life. Everything I am doing is for kids to allow grandkids and allow great grandkids. For thousands of years, bloodline was the priority, I have every intention on protecting mine while others vanish.

I come from a family who had good wealth, passed none down, spent it themselves, chucked me in the water and said ‘start swimming’. I think their method is wrong. I think my method is right.

I’m a rare individual who actually walks their talk. My strategy is building economy of scale of the family unit, however for that to work means current generation works for the next generation and so forth. Not all will participate in that.

We are similar in that regard, so am doing something similar and was handed the same deck of cards as you, so to speak.

I’d say it’s a very Jewish way of doing things. We have what I call “curse of the White man”. We don’t do a good job of looking out for our own or falling in line with our elders like Jewish folks do. They protect their bloodline as well and take care of their people, financially and other ways. We could take a page out of their book, rather than striking out on our own and not talking to our dads.
