Racism will never be fixed. It's inherent. Thousands of years of evolution supports it as not only a very human feeling but a survival instinct as well.
1. Humans feel naturally better, safer, familiar, welcome amongst their own. Thats the first part: my own race feels better to me. This is healthy and natural.
2. Experience/instincts create implicit biases. Seeing other people (other races different from your own) behave 'normally' doesn't leave an impression on you. Seeing other races behave poorly, whether in person or second hand, leaves an impression that teaches you to instinctively avoid those people. This is the second part: self preservation. The same way your ancestors learned to avoid grizzly bears, mountain lions and alligators.
