I`ve been here for 21 years but had a previous account for a brief time.

Late 98, Ron had a chat board here. It had two parts. 1 part was for gossip, the other for training. There was also an IRC style chat room for fast replies and general chat.

Before that, Ron had it set up more like a magazine. He had a Steve Neece style gossip part, a pro rankings part, a photograph part, magazine reviews, contest reviews, etc....

Then sometime between that version and the interactive boards, he ran it pen-pal style for a little while. You'd email Ron a question or comment, he'd post it. Then others would email him with answers, further comments, and he'd post those, middle man style.

There's a few snapshots of the Gossip board from 2002. You can't read most of the threads, but it gives you an idea of how it looked 1998 - Late 2002, and what people were talking about. Most of the old forums had a similar look, it's a throwback to the Usenet era and style.
